I know exactly what Mustang your talking about... I think he is a regular... let me check around!

Posted by: Rick Sample

Is this the Mustang your talking about?

This one isn't painted black. It has the honeycomb trim from a '99 35th anniversary car.

Posted by: Rick Sample

It does look much better with the honeycomb trim

Posted by: JimmyG

YES thats it, thanks! i just had a long night of firemans time after seeing those pics. haha that has to be one of my favoite rear end schemes ever

It's got Cobra taillights? Anything else about that's been changed?

Posted by: JimmyG

as far as i know its 100% stock. they are asking 13,900 its got 55K on the clock... and i think i can find some a bit cheaper. what do you guys think? keep in mind i live in new england. so pricing is a wee bit different

It's just the flash of the camera on the reflectors making them yellow. It has normal GT taillights

I';m guessing it's an 01 or 02 right? Does it have leather and the Mach 460 in it? if it's an '02 it could have the Mach 1000 (subs in trunk)

I'd try to talk them down to 11,500-12,500.

Posted by: JimmyG

yes leather, 5 speed, i think its only the 460... very clean, kinda a firm dealer but i think they may bend a smidge... im still thinking about it though

Posted by: langod

That's a way high price. I only paid 14,500 for my 02 two years ago with 28K miles. And mine has all the goodies except the Mach 1000.
11 to 12 would be more reasonable.

Where in New England are you?

I honestly think that would be on of the better color of Mustangs to put it on

I agree that's priced too high, a year and a half ago I almost bought an 04 comp orange gt with 12k miles for $14,500 and that at the time seemed to be kinda common... I'd look for one closer to $11,000.

Posted by: JimmyG

yea, the dealer is known to be kinda high, but there cars are all nice, uhm and i live in pembroke MA, aka south shore MA.

Posted by: Mustang5L5

Dealership across the street from my Work has an '04 GT with 25K miles. They want 20K for it.

It's weird because it looks identical to mine (except someone stole the horse from the grill) and i park my car a mere 100 feet from where it sits on the lot.

Speaking of stealing from cars at dealerships...there is a yellow '02 near my house for sale on a used car lot. It had chrome cobra R's. Notice i said had..because today i drove by it and saw it sitting on the ground with no wheels!

Posted by: JimmyG

im getting sick of people stealing shit.especially from normal people. if i went outside and my car had now wheels... id be screwed.... i mean a dealership can absorb that kind of loss... but stealing from normal people just isnt right. even though i have 3 other sets of swheels and tires for either one of my jeeps, and another set of stang wheels and tires behid my house. haha. but thats not the point

A couple of weeks ago someone broke into our local car dealership. They stole a new truck (Forget which kind, but the dealership is a Pontiac/GMC dealership) But they drove the truck to a near by field... jacked it up on blocks and all they stole from it was the wheels and left the truck sit. They said the wheels were valued at $2,000!

Posted by: xufima

I think you'd want to paint the area instead of buying one of those trim panels .

I think the blackout panels sold here and other places are "honeycomb" panels -- so they're not "flat, smooth black". I've never seen one for sale that didn't have the embossed honeycomb pattern. If you want smooth, I think you'll have to paint it. I have seen Mustangs with that area painted -- both gloss black and satin -- both were very nice.

Yep... I've only seen the honeycomb panels. I don't think painting it would look to bad either
