My factory pipe hits the speed bump near my house and I hear the catted pipes are lower than factory?? What are you guys/girls using?? I need to figure out what I want to do because I definitely need a cat-back (the Flows are welded and the pipes are all bent to fit the 275's). I have to have Lou at ASM do my tune and pull out the Speed-Cal, but I can't decide what freakin set-up I want!! Posted by: EastCoast5.0 H pipe. Cats are up to you. My catted is no lower than stock. Posted by: TorchRedSVT so before you spend another penny on the car..you first need to decide if you are keeping it or selling it. No point in modding a car that you are going to sell becuase your potential buyer may not have the same tastes as you Now, as for my expierence, GET THE H. X is good for power, but H gives you that awesome muscle car sound. There is not a huge power difference between catted/non-catted...but the non catted will be loud as all hell its really your preference, if you know someone who can give you a sticker, and you want a really loud car then get the off road pipe as for me, i run bbk catted H pipe. As alex stated, mine hangs no lower than my stock pipe and I have long tubes. As for a cat back STAY AWAY FROM FLOWMASTERS....they dont sound great on modular motors. Magnaflow is the way to go, all stainless and won't break the bank. I ordered mine off ebay for 410 bucks shipped. Utlimatley its up to you, just my .02 cents Posted by: dustindu4 Offroad H and flowmasters sound awesome! But my neighbors don't think so! Posted by: LILBLKSNAKE Quote:

That's what I have. I love how it sounds. Ed, get a catted H-pipe. I wouldn't run an off-road because i think it's obnoixious as hell having a car that loud. Posted by: EastCoast5.0 Quote:
4V's are a little diff tho. Posted by: TorchRedSVT its just my personal opinion, i am not flaming anyone. Everyone has personal tastes and i just believe flowmaster's belong on 5.0's. Posted by: bullitt5177 Flows on the Bullitt as well. Do an off-road H. It's true that everyone has their own opinion, but this is the only correct one!!
Posted by: bdass92 Ed, get a y pipe single muffler (stock of course) thats all you need. If you you go with any of the setup mentioned above you'll lose HP believe me...

Here's another silly little video. I really need a camera caddy like Jake has http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0H7PLDz9t0 Posted by: ThePhantim I run shorties thru an O/R H and Flowmaster Deltas and turndowns. I dont think it should be done any other way. Keeps a low tone, loud at full throttle, but never raspy or rattly Ford Mustang Archive Home | General Tech | 5.0 Mustang Tech | 4.6 Mustang Tech | 3.8 Mustang Tech | 2.3 Mustang Tech | Classic Mustang Tech | Appearance and Sound | Virtual Body Shop | Initiation | The Lounge | The Showroom | Site Suggestions | Mustang Talk | 2005 Ford Mustang | Ford Lightning | Racers Bench | For Sale | Wanted To Buy | Northeast | SouthEast | Central | MidWest | West Coast | NEBOC
