My warranty just ran up, and I was wondering if anyone knows where to go for tuning the engine (computer) to get the most from the engine. Any ideas? I was thinking about one of the performace chips. Chris Posted by: Donna They don't actually chip our cars. You can buy a programmer such as XCal2 or The Predator and reprogram the computer to give you more hp. I bought mine as a package deal from Bama Chips. I chose him because he owns a 2005 Mustang and has tuned litterally thousands now. I got the JLT2 CAI and the Xcal2 with a 87, 89, and 93 tune. I run the 93 torque tune all the time. I consider this the best money spent to date on my car. Brenspeed also sells a package that comes highly recomended. Welcome to the site!! Glad you joined us. Posted by: Mac Donna is right. Get a CAI with the pre-packaged programer of your choice. MM&FF's just did a test on three different CAI systems. The great thing about the programer is that it allows you to be able to run at least five different tunes, depending on if you are taking a long trip and want gas mileage or want the most performance you can get. Next step after that would take it to a dyno shop for further tuning. I was amazed how much I gained down around 2500 rpm, that's asked the guy to tune for gas mileage.
