I purchased a 4.3, and Dirty Dog transmission for it.. Here is the shopping list: block (bored .030 over) (painted black) 4.2 Crankshaft (champfered oil journals to help increase oiling) (has NOT been turned, but has been tested and it had no defects) Stock 4.2 connecting rods Hypereutectic pistons (also 0.030 over) (I believe they are Silv-o-lite brand) (They are already installed on the connecting rods) Piston rings (OEM Ford) (already installed) main and rod bearings 2 COMPLETE rebuilt cylinder heads with RPM 0.550 lift springs OEM ford MLS headgaskets Powdercoated (silver) valve covers valve cover gaskets standard stock rocker arms pushrods brand new OEM roller lifters RPM regrind Camshaft (209/212 110lca) brand new timing chain and tensioner 01+ Mustang oil pan brand new oil pump pickup brand new timing cover with oil pump (powdercoated candy blue over black) alt, ps and ac brackets (powdercoated silver) brand new dipstick and dipstick tube F-150 lower intake (powdercoated candy blue over black) 02+ mustang upper intake (powdercoated candy blue over black) water inlet neck (powdercoated silver) egr tube (powdercoated silver) brand new OEM DPFE sensor 01+ fuel injector harness motor mount brackets (powdercoated heavyduty black) stock lifting eye hooks (powdercoated heavyduty black) most bolts needed (all brand new) IMRC actuator with brand new pigtail Dirtyd0g transmission 03 Mustang coreengine stand (engine is currently mounted to it) brand new lower intake gasket (windstar (supposedly better than the mustang and f150 style)) used IAC valve used TPS just about EVERYTHING is powder coated.. Next up, power adder.. havent yet decided on turbo, or SC Posted by: MCRPARTS Holy crap Jay, I was only kidding when I called your car a JR. Dragster
Posted by: Mustang5L5 Holy crap when did you decide to do this?? Posted by: kissajew86 let us know the dyno# when the smoke clears!!! definatly looks like you have some work to do! Posted by: Xerxeese Quote:

Posted by: ExBamaGal Wow!!! Can't wait to see when it's all finished! Posted by: TorchRedSVT very impressive, any idea's what you will be pushing in NA form? I havent seen a built 6 period anywhere.....cant wait to see you surprise some people at the track and on the streets Posted by: Xerxeese Quote:
BUT Once I port the heads, and go with a cam thats designed for power adder. Hell, I may lower compression and go forged internals... My goal is over 400 and still be streetable.. Suprises will happen hehehe My Lic plate says it all "GOT_V6" Posted by: Xerxeese Update: My taxes are paying for some Stage 3 heads. AKA Fully ported, larger intake/exhaust valves and stronger valve springs. Just need some rockers (might just use stock for now) I also have an upper intake from a Windstar which flows SOOO much better than a stock mustang upper. Its comparable (so I'm told) to a ported upper. 3000 stall converter to go with the tranny. If all goes well (big if) The heads and intakes as well as the cam that is in the 4.3 will be going into my 3.8 early this spring. I will possibly need bigger injectors and a bigger TB, but I may have that covered. The 4.3 (which is currently bored .030 over) will be getting bored .050 and receiving forged internals hopefully by next spring. Then its a matter of what kind of power adder I want. Im still thinking SC over Turbo. I will get some pictures of some of these pieces soon :-) Posted by: EastCoast5.0 Very cool, def not your average mustang build! One question though...why the Hypereutectic pistons??!! Are they diff from any other Hype pistons?? I know they do not hold under boost is why I ask. Posted by: Xerxeese Quote:
I wont be keeping those, I will be going forged pistons/rods before boosting :-) Posted by: kissajew86 let us know how it goes! what kind of power you expectng? Posted by: Xerxeese Quote:
This way, I'm not dissapointed. I could say 250 at the wheels, but who knows. There's alot of changes going on at once, and then there is my exhaust (still stock till I pick up headers) that will be restrictive. So we shall see :-) BTW, didnt you trade your stang in ? I only ask, because you still have it for sale in your sig :-) And do you have any parts left from it hehhee Posted by: kissajew86 yeah i sold it, need to change my sig, i have all kinds of part left over lotsa stock parts, a steeda short shifter, some billit interior parts, stock heads, stock valve springs, and some stereo stuff.....just collecting dust.... Posted by: Rodeo Joe If you decide you want to unload some of the 4.2 stuff, LMK! I might be interested in the pistons. I'm waiting on the tax money as well. Joe Posted by: Xerxeese Quote:
The heads (splitport, zero miles on rebuild ,specs up top) and the powder coated upper. I am keeping the crank (you can get one new for fairly cheap money) and the lower intake (IMRC-less variety) Let me know what you want and I will research what a good price will be.
