Rods and Crank

I am going to build my engine this fall and i was wondering what will the stock rods and the stock crank be able to handle for horsepower and RPM I have a 87 5.0 HO.

The problem will be the failure of the block before the rods and crank. I am building over 500rwhp @ 6600 rpm and no problems but hardly ever use all of my power anyways. Use ARP bolts on the rods and if you go with a supercharger use head studs and if not at least use good ARP head bolts to keep the heads on the block.

Are you using the stock rods and crank? and what will go wrong with the block?

Using a totally stock 150k+ miles shortblock. The block will split in half. I have seen cars only making 300 whp do it also and have cleaned my engine dyno area up a few times from people wanting to push to hard. Common problem but then the block was made to support under 245hp at the flywheel.
