How much did I get from h-pipe?

I recently put a MAC O/R H-pipe on my car. (Purchased from Muscle Mustangs! Tony FTW!

I'm a firm beliver in the fact that the Seat-Of-The-Pants dyno is the most innaccurate measurement system known to the automotive world. So I was chalking up the differences that I thought I felt to the new awesome sounds my car is making.

But this morning, I was merging onto the highway and at about 40mph in 3rd gear I put my foot down and broke the tires loose! Well, to be specific, the road was damp, and "tires breaking loose" was more like a couple of quick tire rotations of lost grip along with some "rearend wiggle". BUT -- my car had NEVER done that before on wet roads!

So -- did I just happened to find a slicker-than-normal patch on the highway, or did I actually gain a decent amount of torque?

You may have gained a fair amount of torque. I found that after I installed that exact pipe, the exhaust sound and power jumped right up after 2500 RPMs. In fact, I always have to hit at least 2500 between shifts every time, just so I can hear it!!

I love the sound of my Mac H too. I just need to install a gasket where the H meets the pass. manifold

Average Dyno listings show 4whp and 6ftlb. Not enough to feel really. It is the additional noise that makes it seem faster.

Well, I finally got it dyno'd.
The O/R H-pipe gave me 10 rwhp and 25ft lbs of torque.
Final numbers are: 249.06RWHP, 306.82 Torque.

Sweet! I'm a happy boy. The $150 for the H-pipe was money well spent.
