There are all kinds of tires and tire stores to evaluate. The original tires are Goodyear Eagles ZR45 245 (45ZR17). Those tires have served me well and would think that putting the same tire on is the best thing. However the knowledgeable people of our club should be queried before such a decision is made. Appreciate any suggestions you can make. Lugnut Posted by: langod Do you need strictly summer tires? All-Seasons? Ultra high performance or drag strip tires? Like you said there are lots to choose from. Give us a few more details and I'm sure you'll get some opinions! For what it's worth, my 2002 GT is a snow driven, daily-driver. I bought Continental ContiExtreme Contacts and have been very happy with them. They're one of the few all-season high-performance tires that really are decent in the snow. ContiExtremes at Tire Rack Posted by: Lugnut My 2001 GT spends winters in the garage now. It is driven on the highways and by-ways, but no drag racing (officially that is). Just driving around the roads during the good parts of the year. Will take it out in the rain, but no more snow for my GT. So any recommendations of what store, like speed stores that might have a good deal or is going to a chain store the right way to go? Thank you for any ideas. Posted by: sitnlopro99gt You are best off sticking with what you have. If you like them though there are a lot of other good tires out there toyo/bfg/dunlop etc. Are you looking to keep the stock size all around or?The best place to buy tires I found in NH to buy from at local store is going to be Townfairtire by Henrys autobody in Manch I looked around for a longtime and no one could touch there prices or promptness of getting a tire you wanted.. Posted by: Mustang5L5 Bridgestone Potenza S-03 !!! what i run Posted by: Pony-Up Driven with lots of Goodyear - preference is BF Goodrich Posted by: Rick Sample Yokohama low profile tires are what I have. I've been riding with them for about 6 years now. Posted by: badass98svt stay AWAY from Kumho Ecsta Supras. They are pieces of shlt. Period. I prefer BFG's. I usually use BFGs, but I got a deal that was too good to be true for some Toyo 275/35/18. So I have those up front, but BFGs are out back. Posted by: Mustang5L5 Quote:
I'm actually running those on my car right now on the '97 Cobra wheels. WHile i agree they suck, they are better than the stock Goodyears that were on the car. I've been pushing them pretty hard on the nice day's we've had this winter and they've done well. Pretty good in the rain as well. Of course i'm never gonna buy them again, and ai can't wait til spring so i cam put my bullitts and the Potenza S-03's back on Posted by: 00GT&03L I have Toyo Proxes 4. They are fairly priced, decent in all seasons, and have a nice tread pattern. You can get a decent look in this pic.
