95 Mustang GT questions

Ok I have a 95 GT with 60,000 original miles on the clock. The car is virtually stock sans the stance provided by a STEEDA suspention giving it a squatty stance. Question is The engine has zero mods other than BBK shorties, Bassini X pipe and American Thunder cat back. I want to modify the intake and heads but want to keep the under hood apperance factory looking. I am not trying to make a 10.00 sec screamer out of this car just trying to pump up (update) the drive train to equal the suspension. My thought process is currently on rebuild and port and polish the factory heads as well as extrude hone the factory intake. Possibly add a new cam. Add a new mass Air and TB then have my computer custom mapped? Let me hear from some of you experienced guys out there

Sounds like you have a good plan. Good that you thought of extrude honing. A friend with a 95 did this and was very happy with the results.

thos E7 are great stock heads but it would be wise ito in vest in to some gt-40 heads cuz you will spend more on the E7 than a gt-40 x,y,or z heads and maybe a cobra intake with a gt-40 lower intake and a f-303 e-303 cam and a65 or 70 mm TB

Supercharger.

By the time you spend the same amount cash on bolt-ons you will look back and realize you could have just bought a supercharger and seen bigger gains.

if you really want to keep the motor looking stock, then go with an explorer intake (pretty much the same as gt40, but looks very similar to the stock manifold. throw some gt40 heads on there and a larger tb and it'll still look stock to the untrained eye.

blah.. its a sn95, do you still have AC? With all the accessories on the front of the motor and under the hood aluminum heads won't be spotted that easily.

However, if you insist on keeping a 'stock appearance'. Consider www.thumperoforangepark.com for your cylinder head education and services. Then consult www.tmossporting.com for your intake manifold education and porting. It doesn't seem like your into getting to silly with it but with a set of thumper heads, tmoss ported intake and an e cam with all the boltons you'll have a high 12 second, very streetable and fun to drive 5.0.

OK that is the kind of info that I am looking for. I am not down with changing a bunch of stuff around under the hood, just making due with what is there. The car is showroom clean even though it has 60,000 miles on it. I want to keep it as factory as possible especiallly under the hood. The recommended sites are exactly what I have been after to massage available power out of the factory auto. I have a CBR 600 RR that meets the seat of your pants spped that I crave. I aint looking for that. Thanks alot.

I went with a 4.10 rear ration on my '94 GT and it made quite an improvement for a $500 total investment and other than the chrome cover I put on my rear diff, everything still looks stock
