thermostat-HELP

new to fixing my own ride. Thermo is bad I think. So I follow the hose from the top of the radiator and it leads to the engine. I take off the hose and I believe I have to undo bolts. I can get at the first(one on top) but how in the hell am I supposed to get at the second one. Everyone tells me they should be easily accessable. Am I looking in the right place?

They should be right there.Right in front of the tensioner pulley is where it is.

What motor are you working on and for what year car?

SOunds about right.

The t-stat housing is held on by two bolts and is at the end of the upper radiator hose. You might have to take off the small heater hoses to get at that bolt

after atleast an hour trying to get the bottom bolt out it is fixed with no leaks!!!!
