Engine Swap

Hello group, I'm new here, live in east Texas near Tyler but starting with a bang!!!
I have an 85 GT convertible with a 5 speed. The 302 (last carb motor) is history (though it did hold together well serving double duty as a weekend warrior at the track and work car during the week) and I have found a great deal on a carburated 351 windsor currently in a truck. I have been told it's a straight in swap, and I need to swap the 302 oil pan onto the 351 (and it'll bolt right on) to the final swap story that I need a new, special oil pan and will need to replace the k-memeber for it to work.
I'm guessing I will need a new flywheel (truck is auto and I want to keep my 5) some bracket mods will be necessary but I don't want to do this if it's going to turn into a major project!!
Any help is appreciated!!!!

Greg

Thanks for the input!!
I'm going to start pricing everything I know to make the swap but if I have to change the k-member that's around $500 and that'll do lots to a 302!!

You can stay with the stock K member.Check out the FRPP catalog for the proper 351 swap pan.

new mounts and your 5.0 accersies brackets to keep your power steering if you want to but usally its a stright swap and yes you willhave to get a fox oilpan to put in there id go with a 7Qt oil pan
