I just wanted to know how i can tell if i have super 40 flows and not delta series mufflers b/c i expected it to sound louder when i put an off road h-pipe on my 91 gt 5.0......I still have stock headers and they are pretty skinny could that be cutting down on sound or could it be the stock turn downs b/c i was wonder if i dumped the tips right after the mufflers would it be louder???? Any tips would be awsome

Will somebody please help me with this....My car sounds mean but not mean enuff is it the stock header the stock tip what????? answer please thank you

I donno if theres a way to tell between the two muffs. So your saying it's not loud enough with the o/r H? Damn, it should be pretty loud. Headers will make it a little louder. You can dump it...though I'd stick with the pipes. Dumping it will make it louder IN the car for sure but I donno, personally if you really want louder after you get some headers look into a different set of muffs.

There's a number on the muffler. It should be on the end opposite the inlet and outlet pipes. That will tell you what muffler it is

I don't think the headers will make any difference in sound, it i'll make it breathe better & what kind of H-pipe are you going to go with?
I have mac header, bassani X-pipe w/cats & flomaster thunder & very happy the way it sounds, just for shits & giggles i took off the tailpipes to see how it sound of couse installed turn down tips @ muffler & killed the flomaster tone so back went in the tail pipes.

I run Flow-tech X-pipe with Flowmaster American thunders, no tail pipes(as they were bent to hell after tow truck pulled my car out a ditch sideways), anyways it's super loud so I just turn the tunes up

alright kool i will just leave the tail pipes then gett some header and see what happens from there....once i gett out to the barn and check the numbers i will post them and see what the deal is

Are your mufflers aluminized or do they have a black rubberized finish to them. If they are aluminized they aren't Super 40s.
