Anyone ever raced a Silverado in their V6?

Has anyone ever done this? I raced one today and he had prolly 2-3 car lengths on me by the time we hit 60mph! I am wondering if he was stock, or had a few mods?

I have a 2000 V6 Auto (stock)
The silverado was approx. a 2000 which has 285 hp and 325 tq.

Are you sure the Silverado wasn't a V6? They do put I think a good sized V6 into the Silverados.

4.3L Vortec. Those things are mean V6s actually!!

True, we also had one with the 4.0L non vortech.

No i doubt this thing was a V6, it was the extended cab long bed version. I only got to see it for a quick second so thats all i can remember lol.

i raced a silverado in my v6 and we stayed together...i raced my neihbor and his was the v6...you raced the v8 version...in fact i think i won that race because i had maybe an inch on him.

I have a GMC Sierra with a 350 vortec, 5.7L, 255 HP, 330 ft/lbs, for anyone that is curious.

Friend had a V8 silverado. Thing was pretty quick for a truck.

Raced some hot chicks in a bonaville a few years ago in my friends 2000 V6 stang. That was before I knew they had blowers on those cars. Did a decent job of keeping up though.

I had some high school kids in a beat up shit box neon with a fart can ask me to race a light....Wasnt much of a race tho....I mean cmon buddy try to keep up!

HAHA I raced some dude in a beat neon in my pos 94 subrau wagon rustbox, we were neck to neck up untill my lane ended, he shifted faster though. I decided to back off and not take full advantage of the all wheel drive system. The race was so slow too, it was great, I was laughing so hard the whole time, guy probably though I was a psycho.

I love the ricer challenges in our beaters!! I had a Civic and a Cavalier Z24 race me in my Grand Am one time. I beat the Civic, but lost to the Z24.

LoL 87 corrola hahaha. That would be wicked with a set of Slicks on the front and like..some kind of SuperCharger sticking out the hood. with a V8 Cramed in it.
