i believe 94-98 shares the most similarities, but 94-95 might be even more similar

On a 6 i'd say go flowmaster. Magnaflow makes the car sound like an import.

I have the Flowmaster 40 series on my v6 and I love the sound.

As for exhaust, I'd stick with a complete flowmaster system. Just make sure they give you the 3" tips though

As for parts being interchangeable, like Mustang5LS stated, most of the parts for the 94-98 are, but nearly every part for the 94-95 are interchangeable. They made some slight changes for the 96-98 Mustang V6's!
