The heads do flow pretty well, I've gotten ~230 CFM pretty easily with
cheap big valves, I'm really gonna push a set this year. Maybe even big
valve seats, so I can get bigger valves in there than the stock seats allow.
I'm new to this forum and relatively new to the mustang thing. I have a v6 powered '99 and was wondering what can I have done to my mustang to give v8's a hard time. Mine is an automatic and I know I should get to work on it. It sluggish from the start. I also noticed the overdrive button doesn't work, I checked all the fuses and they are fine, I just don't know what else to check. I bought the vehicle used, I like it now ai want to make it look good and run great!
Can you help with which direction I can go and where to find parts and someone to do the work.
Gus

First, gears and duals. Then a cam and tune, plus the porting you desire.
I can spec you a bang-up cam that works great with unported heads and
then adding intake manifold porting it really rocks for little money. Head
porting is a good option, but if you have limited fundage it is not that big
of a deal since the stock heads flow really well. If you email me I can work
up a package for you and have my buddy Mik @ RPM-Mustangs.com fix you
up! I trained him in porting initially, and know his stuff well. I'm still the
cam master though, I developed many of the cams he still sells today. I
steer people his way all the time!

RGRCFM1@yahoo.com is my email.

what type of power would these cams add in a stock v6 or in a v6 with just intake and exhaust like mine. Also, what kind of prices are we talking and how hard is it to do a cam swap? I may be interested if it adds a resonable or good amount of power and its not too hard to do with a friend or two. I wouldn't want to pay to get it done. Also, would you recommend roller rockers with these cams? (1.8s)
