Rims and tires

I have a question for everyone on tires actually. My car is Atlantic blue with the white lettering on the sides that say mustang. the mechanic that i use said that i should buy tires with the whitewalls to show off the car more. Anybody think this would look good, or crappy? I could use someone to possibly do a photoshop of some nice bullitt rims with the whitewall tires to see what it would look like. Any takers? Please.

I don't even think they make whitewall tires with a 45 series sidewall.

Either way, i don't think it will look too great.

Raised white letters would be better than white walls, but I have yet to find a set in anything lower than 55 series

Not quite sure how that would look. Would be interesed to see a chop though.

Look for a post made by 91RS in the Virtual Body Shop. Someone did a photoshop for him not too long ago using white lettered tires but I can't remember who.

I don't think white lettered tires would look too bad, but whitewalls would look pretty dumb in my opinion.

White lettering looks better on wheels with fatter sidewalls. I know my my friend's 87 GT wih 15" wheels it looked really good.

Unsure that it would look good on bullitts with the low profile.

You could make it easier and just remove the side striping for a cleaner look anyway!

Whitewalls seem like more of a luxury car thing. I have to agree that I think the raised white letters would even look crowded on a low profile tire.

Hey Wolfy, how bout a picture of your car so we can make suggestions?

Okay, i found the photo of the raised white lettering. I kind of like it. Not sure what kind of rims i'm going to get, so i guess i'll have to shop around. when i get a photo of the rims, maybe someone could do a photoshop with tires with raised white lettering on them.

Just get black bullets with the polished lip, best rim ever. Yeah, I think the White-Lettering tires would look neat.

Haha, yeah waaaay too small to PS that!

I personally don't think the white walls will look that great on Bullitt rims, especially with low profile tires. I did like the chop someone made for 91RS with his white walls though.

save the whitewalls for the chopped, channelled, and frenched 49-51 Merc's

White letters look great on old muscle cars and hi-power sedans.
I had a 73 Torino that they looked good on.

I'm not sure that it'd look good on a modern, "high-tech" sports car. Not enough tire and sidewall. Remember, whitewalls and white letters were used to dress up what was otherwise a big ole donut of black rubber. Our cars have 50series and lower profiles -- not much "donut" there.....

Wouldnt be bad if they used smaller letters

Yeah -- I've seen that. I think there's another company that does it too. But it's more of a logo than a styling concept.

Okay, then i'll just get some regular tires then. Anybody know of a good rim site that has some different chrome rims to fit my stang? I'm trying to be a little different and not buy the same rims as everyone else.
