Summit OR Taylor Battery Boxes?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

While trying to remove my factory batter holder, it broke in half. This gave me an excuse to purchase a polished battery box. However, I'm not sure which is the best name or what I need to look for besides just sizes.

Here are the two:

Summit

Taylor

Also, both of these do mount under the hood correct? I need to make sure that these aren't battery relocation kits

If you have an optima battery check out this place too. They also sell on ebay.

Dang that would truely add the right touch! I don't have an optima battery and the battery that is currently installed (Well laying on the floor now lol) is only a month old. I'm not sure if I want to spend the extra cash to purchase a new battery

Since you just got the battery I wouldn't replace it.

Yeah, don't really want to toss a perfectly good battery. Anywase, I'm leaning more towards the Taylor box since I have to order about a hundred bucks in meguiars products, too.

Guys, I am SOL!!

The max battery box that I can have because of limited space is 10X8X8. Summits boxes measure at 13.5X9.5X10. My hood wouldn't close and the box would hit one of my pulleys and belt lol

Anyone have any other options? I was thinking of buying another battery tray (sine mine is broke) for this show season, then next year getting the setup Steve suggested.

put the battery in the back and be done with it!

I'm actually going to hold off on this for about a year or so. I probably will relocate the battery though
