i got a fog light kit it was pretty cheap it came with the factory switch the relay and the fog lights the guy told me that my car had the wiring harness on it so i would need to buy one i wanted to know what should i be looking for to find this harness i took a quick look tonight aftter work but couldnt see anything...i talk too a few people they said that i could wire it my self runing each wire i dont want to do that but if i have to then thats what i got to do can anyone help thanks

the factory harness is there. pop the coin holder off(the one closest to the shifter). locate the plug in there, pull it out and plug the factory switch into it. pop it in where the coin holder was.

jack up the front of the car and locate the two plugs for the fogs. they will be right behind where the lamps actually mount. plug the new lights in and bolt them up to the factory holes.

Presto!

the factory switch you have should only plug into 1 of them. while you are in there, you'll wanna do the independent fog light mod too. it allows you to turn the fogs on independently, instead of only being able to turn them on when the headlights are on.
here's a link to show you how to do it.
btw, the 5th pic in the link shows you the difference between the fog harness and the conv. top harness.

enjoy.

using a manual might help you in installing your fog lights. it could help save time.. good luck

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i beleive up til 1998 Ford had the harness already run in all cars.

That would mean all you need to do is locate the harness under the coin slot, plug it into the switch and then find the fog light leads hanging under the bumper and hook them up to the fog lights.

Now i'm not sure if that's how it is. I know either 1998 or 1999 Ford changed it and eliminated the wiring on non-fog light cars. But i do know on my '88 the fog light leads were hanging. All i did was buy a switch and then i had power at the fog light leads (although i don't use them)

So, i don't have a wiring harness on my 2000? Dang i was going to buy some fog lights too.
