2005 Cobra-R Bumper!

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Last year they developed the Cobra-R bumper use guys with the 94-98 Mustangs and they didn't leave the 2005 guys out! I dunno, I think it would look pretty nice on the 2005 Mustang! Couldn't really tell until one is actually on the car though!

There is a photo of it installed by a seller on Ebay. Easy to pick out, it's a red 05 Mustang front-on photo.

Vender website? Don't throw candy out on a string

Ok, found it. Really pretty easy too. They did a photoshop on a 07 shelby, don't know why they didn't do it on a GT if that's what it fits. Part of me likes it, part don't, but it is another option.

It's not bad. I need to see it on the car in person to really give a yay or nay.

That one is actually mounted to a GT. Still don't know.

Na, that is also a photochop of the 99-04 Cobra-R bumper on the 2005 Ford Mustang. If you look closly at the white stripes, they are smudged. If you also look closer under the lights and right before the Cobra-R bumper meats, you can see two different colors of red and you can actually see a fine line.

i'm not really liking that

I dunno, i don't think you should mix bloodlines so to speak. Doesn't look right to me.

If you want a Cobra R, then buy at least that style Mustang. Same thing for the 99-04 Mustangs putting on the PMP 05 conversion kit

I agree with 5L5, It also reminds me of 99-04 saleen kits on sn95 cars, especially that 99+ S281 wing, just doesn't work. Makes it look too ricerish.

Everyone needs to take a long hard look at the Cobra front valence that are being sold on Ebay.

On at least one of them, the part that separates the grill from the headlight is slanted just like it will be on the new Ford Shelby Mustang...and your stock headlights won't fit....and you cannot even buy headlights that will fit.

I emailed the Ebay seller of this unit, questioning if they had headlights available and if so, how much? I received a very aggressive response that if I couldn't handle getting custom headlights myself, don't bid. So I didn't.

There is another one being sold that has straight parts adjacent to the headlights (like the original stock part) that doesn't have this problem. So you need to look closely at what you're bidding on.

Good luck,
OldFart

Well someone who doesn't know alot about the 2005 Mustang is going to get ripped I see if they purchase from that company! This is why I never order any fiberglass body parts from ebay. Good looking out OldFart!
