Driving with tires in wrong direction?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Just curious to see if theres any major side effects (so to say) of driving with one tire turning in the wrong direction?
I've got some old GT wheels + tires that wont fit over the Cobra brakes in the front, but I assume they will in the back....both passenger side tires are fucked on the Cobra, so if I bring drivers side rear up to the pass side front and toss a pair of the GT wheels on the back, I just need to be able to drive the car today, tomorrow, and Sunday.....
No highway driving, just around town, and hopefully it wont be wet out. Picking up a pair of tires tomorrow but probably wont be able to get them mounted till Monday, and I have no other way of getting around this weekend (which I need to do)

Shouldn't be an issue, although the tire construction will be "backwards". So they may not shed heat properly and your traction will be all messed up. I bet the car will handle kinda squirrely.

I would change them to the right way around asap. And NO Racing!

Yeah, just need to get to a few places tonight and tomorrow, all within 10 miles of my house and no speed limits over 40mph or whatever.....
Thanks for the help!

Should be fine. I've flipped tires before when racing at the track. They claw a little bit better in dry weather, but i wouldn't drive in the rain with the channels in the wrong direction

are you still alive with your backwards tire? lol

Just got back from your area, too. (met a guy from another forum to pick up a pair of tires....no i didnt drive the Cobra)

Yeah...I was hoping by some fucked up chance that you'd be out driving your car and I'd happen to see you, but no such luck :-P I wanna see your car in person REALLY badly....its friggin AWESOME.
On the topic of really slim chances, the kid I was buying the tires from was telling me he tried buying some stuff at the NH State Liquor store with a fake ID (He's 21 in like a week...DOH!) and the woman at the checkout, well....apparently her husband is the landlord for the address on the ID.....LOL
