I am seventeen years old, I have a 1988 Ford Mustang L4. 2.3L Fl, it is completely stock in and out, no modifications whatsoever. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what little things I could do that would give me that little extra hike in horsepower? It's my first car so I plan on keeping her for a very long time.

you should introduce yourself in initiation...and if you want more power get an engine swap for a v8...

Honestly, there isn't much.

I had a 1990 2.3L Mustang and there just wasn't much to do to it.

If you want speed, you'll need an engine swap. You don't need to do a V8, a 2.3L Turbo out of a turbocoupe or SVO or Merkur X4rti would do wonders. You can get 300HP+ out of those motors with small tweaks.

Well, I was planning to keep my integra forever, but a few months later i jumped it into a creek accidently. It was all for the better though, because thats when I bought my baby. You should just leave it stock and save up for a V8 car, the 4 bangers are slow as hell and will require either major wrench time or cash, probably both to make them decently quick. The 5.0's may cost a grand or two, but they are worth saving for.
