bacteria/mold in wax... normal?

Is bacteria or mold in wax normal? or bad?

It's on my turtle wax and on the applicator. Should I just mix it in? or scoop it out and get a new applicator? I used it where it wasn't moldy and it still works like new, its not dried out or anything. The container is about 1yr+ old.

Im just going to use it where its not moldy for now, but I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

thats a cheap wax, trash it and get something better, store it at room temp. during the winter season

Dump it! Turtle wax is junk! Go out and spend the extra coin on Meguiar's Gold Glass or NXT!

Definately go get some Meguiars. It's the best!

NXT didn't do diddly for my car. I like Klasse followed by a couple of coats of P21S.

how good is zymol? (if you've already used meguire's before to take out the scratches)

also, they said Z2 and Z5, but I only saw 1 bottle that just said zymol.

I already picked up a Mothers clay bar system... that's good right?

my main question is, when would you do touch-up paint? after the clay? or just after washing/drying? I have a few stone chips on my hood and fenders.

I've heard a couple good things about Zymol. Never used it though. But Z2 and Z5 are actually polishes made by Zaino (completely different brand). Best you could buy, apparently better than wax, but a lot of work and pretty expensive. Their site is here. I wouldn't recommend touch up paint. Chances are, it will stand out more than the rock chips. Mother's clay bar is good, you want to wash your car with Dawn dish soap first though (to strip all the wax off), then the clay bar acts as sort of a prep for waxing by pulling quite a bit of contaminants out of the actual paint/clearcoat. Follow that up with some Meguiar's NXT and you'll be golden!!

you want the best go to www.adamspolishes.com
it is the BEST hands down

Trash it and get Meguiar's NXT for about $15.00! I've been using mothers and regular Mequiars until last year. After I applied the Mequiars NXT was I noticed a huge difference in the quality of the shine and feel. I'll never use anything else except Meguiars!

my fault, i did mean zaino. even if it might stand out more, when would be the time to use touch-up paint? Id at least want to test it.

thanks for all the feedback, Im trying to find out what is best so that when its warm enough I can do a total overhaul on my paint and give it a showcar finish.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I'd say just before wax, but I'm just speculating.

Jake, have you used it yet? Is it really that good?

Meguiar's NXT works well after you've done it right. Wash, Clay, Paint Cleaner, Polish and then two coats of NXT! You'll spend 50-75 bucks and its worth every penny.
