We are doing a brake pad replacement and cannot compress the rear pistons.

Which way to turn the screw piston so I can install the new pads?

Thanks in advance!!

Jack

I believe it's counterclockwise to release it.

isn't there a kit that you need to buy?

no just a specialty tool, it has 2 nobbies on it to help turn the piston

It turns clockwise and we used a pair of channel locks to screw it in.

Putting the calipers back on was a major pain!

Physically remounting them.

If the springs on the pads don't line up PERFECTLY, it won't go back together.

We spent two hours trying to get the right rear back together. All of a sudden it just popped right into place.
