I would never pay that much for a Mustang! It only has what 500 HP? You could get a couple of lamborghini's with the same amount of HP for much less or you could get a modified Mustang Cobra with 500HP for around $40-50,000!

yea, but its not just a mustang... it's the 1st 'new' shelby, the buyer can pick any and all options they want, and Im sure they'll give him something one of a kind for that money. The buyer also got a tour of the factory and dinner with Caroll Shelby (spelling?)... The interview/dinner is priceless. The factory tour is nice. A #1 production shelby adds major value and it will most likely be something special.

Still like you said, way overpriced... for us... but for a rich collector I guess it's a good price. It may take a very long time to see a return.

What got my attention and why I posted was when I saw the selling price is that the first production GT (40 style) went for about $350,000, much more realistic. Bet a couple of "very" rich guy's got into a ego bidding war on the Shelby.

Yeah, that's a good point. That thing better at least be autographed by Shelby for that price I'd hope

Actually the car will be the first Mustang to be offered to the public. It will be a low number but not number one. The price paid for the car over MSRP will be tax deductable since the money went to charity. Shelby will sign the visor.

i thought they said it would be the first. Also, Shelby has been signing a ton of 'Shelbys' lately. Every time you see him or a shelby on tv now, he has either signed it or is signing one.
