I called another shop for a quote and they told me that the posi is a waste of money and just go with the gear only because the 3.8 will never spin the tires. This is a 2000 Mustang 3.8l Coupe. CAI, UDP and 2.25 Catback true dual with MagnaFlow exhaust. This will have Drag Radials for the track. Who is right? Thanks in advance! Jack Posted by: kissajew86 i sure can spin my tires ![]() if you are going to go drag racing or plan on adding a lot more power get the posi. for just daily driving as you have it it isnt NECCISSARY, but it is nice.... you will notice it most when one wheel is wet and you have more traction, or if both wheels are wet you tend to fishtail easier.... When I had your mods, I got t-lock and 3:73's put in my 7.5" rear end it and was a world of difference. You will be totally happy. The only thing I would do different is I should have upgraded to an 8.8" rear end instead of putting the gears in mine.
