Hi, I own a GTA 1967 Fastback the DSO on the ID tag is 92 which says it was built for export in Dearborn MI , does anyone know how many were built for export or do i own the only one and where was it built to be exported too, i live in Australia. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the site. I live in the US but I have an XB Falcon.

Most of the Mustangs slated for export were exported to Europe. I have an article somewhere about this issue. I will see if I can dig it up. The "export brace" that goes in the engine compartment was designed to meet European standards. GTA's are a rare find so you certainly have a special one.

Oh, and is your car left or right hand drive?

I've found out so far that Ford executives in Melbourne Australia ordered Mustangs from Ford America they were converted to right hand drive in Melbourne, i have contacted Dearborn MI were it was built to see if they have any info as Ford in Australia havent got records back that far. If your right about most exports going to Europe my GTA might hopefully be the only one exported by Ford to Australia.
