Posted by: 40thgtfl

well i cant drive... no i turned out some awsome 2.8 second 60ft times. 14.90 @96mph. the mustang next to me ran a 14.1@96mph. go figure. i dont know how your supposed to hook up in these damn cars. then to make life worse on the way home a satern redline pulled 1/2 a car on me at like 115mph on the high way. ive got to get some gears and tires.

Posted by: bullitt5177

Keep practicing, that's all it is. Also, what are you launching at? And what type of tires are you using? If you're running street tires, you want to launch real low, to get better traction. Also, when did you shift into second?

Posted by: 40thgtfl

launched at 1000. shift at 5800, the car came with good year 245s they suck.

Posted by: bullitt5177

Sounds like your doing everything right. Just keep practicing, and you'll be fine. What type of stang is it?

Just got back from the Track. My 06 GT ran a best of 13.73@101mph. The first run was a 13.89@100.17 which I was very happy with. I was expecting a low 14 in the high 90s. The second was the 13.73@101.39. The third was a 13.93 @100.00. I left the traction control on and manually shifted from 1st-3rd. The Car bogs off of the line until about 3500 rpm and then really pulls hard. The only mods so far is a CAI from C&L. Ran 87 octane

Since then I have added 3.73 gears and an Aluminum Driveshaft. Hopefully that will put me in the 12s

its the stock 2001 Cobra engine, but everything that can be done to my engine for performance and being N/A has pretty much been done apparently, + 3.90 gears. I know I can easily run an 11.3, 11.4. better launch and shifting to 3rd. np. I will be in the 10s and N/a when Im done, which will be very soon.

A friend of mine got up to 13.93 @100.00.
And its a street car. I dont remember the model of it but will get you back when I ask him.

The car's second time out and My first time at the wheel. The fox went 10.490 @ 125 .026 RT first run and my second run was 10.456 @ 127 RT was off @ -.091 el red light All together I am extremely happy with the set-up.

I'm hooked on how this N/A car runs.

The white fox yes. / Going this weekend to Rockingham, NC expecting temps in the high 50's to low 60's. Definitely weird weather for this time of year, even for the south. But, if they will keep the tracks open, I'm game.

My S-197 is soon getting an upgrade to the SC and HE system. A few more horses might get the thing in the 10's. Last time out it didn't do as well as expected and only ran 11.50 @ 119 With MPH in the low 120's it should be better. I'm just not a wizard at the Manual tranny and Track.
