Well, according to AutoTrader's technical specs, it is 7.3 seconds which seems low...

Posted by: DoubleJ$

7.3 really? ya that seems a little fast. does anyone else have an idea of the 2000 v6 times?

Posted by: kissajew86

Yes, that's what the site claimed. I'm guessing thats for a 5-speed.

In Germany where there is no limit on some parts of our Interstate System I ran a 0-65 mph in about 8 seconds on the ramp ... so 7.3 0-60 is kinda realistic

I've always wonderered about the roads over there, can you go 100+ without getting in trouble or do you have to have some sort of special license or permit to do so?

do you personally go over 100?

Posted by: mindphaser

Sorry for not answering so long, have been busy on our local board

Well you don't need a special license to go over 100 mph (160 kmh). Some of our "Interstates" are w/o any limit so you can go "as fast as you like" and traffic allows. Sure there are certain routes with a limit like 65 mph or 75 mph and you better watch for the signs because there is always a big chance that there is a radar trap (like in construction areas or metro areas).

And yes : when I am on a long distance trip I go to the max of 115 mph in the V6 if the road is dry and clear of maniacs!
