HELP! Air Intake system needed.

Hello all,

I'm new here and was wondering if someone can help me. Some idiot broke into my car and stole my aftermarket intake system (filter, MAF, IAT, etc....up to the throttle body) so I'm looking everywhere for a replacement. I would even look for a stock one if anyone has it. BTW My car is a 2000 3.8. I actually am finding out from the dealership the cost of everything but I know it will be outrageous and that's why I ask if someone knows a site or friend that is parting out a stang. Thanks all.

This is new, never heard of anyone stealing engine parts Sorry about the misfortune. To bad your car wasn't a 95' I have a lot of old parts that are just sitting in my garage I don't use anymore.

Yeah, well, we heard from the cops that people steal parts to sell for drugs. Now my car is unoperational and just sitting in the carport for the person to come back and steal more from it. Yeah, too bad my car wasn't a 95. I believe I can only get my MAF and IAT from a 99 or 00 Stang because in 01, they integrated the IAT into the MAF. Bah! I'm having a hard time finding it too.

I think I still have the stock parts I took of of mine down in the shop from when I got the CAI. Where are you located?

Central Valley, California. Guess shipping would be the only way to go. I can't drive all the way to NC.

Edit: Oh yeah, any chance that will include the factory MAF and IAT? Please say "yes"! If so

Great, they have the same year stang as mine that was wrecked. I'm calling now to see how much they would sell a MAF and IAT. Thanks!

EDIT: BOO! $175 is what I was quoted.

meh, aftermarket maf is 200 and cai is like 100, so it is cheaper than aftermarket

Well, I don't know if mine still has it or not. Is that something you have to keep when you put on a CAI? Can't remember lol

If so, then no, it doesn't come with it

you keep your stock maf when you get a cai

True. I think I'll just go to Autozone because I found out they sell one for $100 (well $135 because of a $35 core charge). I decided not to get it from stangparts because the stang they are parting out was in a rollover and the mustang didn't look pretty. Don't want to take a chance that it won't work.

Rick,

I guess good for me. I just brought a used 95-3.8' that need some work. I think it's all factory. Would like to do a few things to it. Intake, exhaust, interior. What parts and suggestions do you have. I think my first problem is gas pump or injectors.

please advise
