With today's announcement that Penske has signed Kurt Busch aka wreckem busch, speculation is flying as to who will be filling the #2's seat. I thought Jamie McMurray would be a shoe in since he drives Rusty's Busch car. Now I am wondering, as Jamie has flown the coop to Roush !!!

Hey hey...Jamie lives less than 2 miles from me. Think he'll hook me up with some Roush stuff lol

I never have liked Busch even though he's been driving for Roush. Personally glad to see him leave. Now Roush just has to figure out what he's going to do. Unless Penske adds another car I would expect Busch to drive the 2 since Newman is in the 12. Between those two I don't see them getting along. To me they are both whiners who deserve to be on the same team. And I am excited that McMurray is coming to Roush from Ganassi. He's a talented driver and will have some wins for Roush.

Here is your Answer!

Defending Nextel Cup champion Kurt Busch has signed to drive for Roger Penske, starting in 2007.
Roush Racing announced Tuesday that Busch advised team officials that he has signed with another team commencing in 2007. Busch also requested a release from his contract for 2006. However, due to sponsor and team considerations, Roush Racing said no decision on that request will be made for an indefinite period.

Penske Racing South released a statement later Tuesday to say it has signed Busch to a multi-year contract.

"I met with Jack Roush personally Tuesday morning to let him know that I am committed to Rousch Racing and the No. 97 team as we attempt to defend our Nextel Cup Championship this season and through the remainder of my contract," Busch said in a statement released Wednesday morning, "but that I have signed a multi-year agreement to drive the Penske Racing South No. 2 car beginning in 2007.

But who is gonna fill his seat in the 97? Any speculations?
