Hey Im thinking about getting a Mustang 4banger soon. Im only 15, so I dont have a lot of cash. My dad and I want to get an 87-90 LX, probably a convertible for cruising the beach and hollerin at the ladies. I am keeping the stock engine, and I have found many exterior and suspension upgrades, howver the only decent engine ones that I have found are Accel injectors (im pretty sure they increase power), KN filter (what car doesnt have one), and a B&M Shift Kit. Are their any other good engine/performance upgrades for this car?

Welcome aboard. The primary place I refer people to for modification parts for the 2.3L motor is Racer Walsh.

Racer Walsh

They offer everything from intakes, exhaust, suspension, the whole works.

Will A 4 Cl Trans Work In A V8

Another place that has a butt load of 2.3L parts is Esslinger Engineering. They have a website and a catalog that you can get.

I am also in agreement concerning turbo coupe parts. You can also look for the early fox body turbo parts, primarily SVO.

Hello everone Im new to this site. Im 19 years of age I have had three mustangs all 88's pretty much besides the one I have now which is an 87. Any ways what I was wondering was where do I find these turbo parts???? and also I wanted to swtich out my differenteal for 373's or some type of posi what would be the best way of doing that?? and which rear end would work best Thanks to anyone that has info Names Landon!

best place to find info is TurboFords.org, as for the parts... find a wrecked 87-88 thunderbird turbocoupe and pull out the motor, computer, vane air meter (with wiring pigtail) i would also suggest that you goto this site : http://projecthp.ford23.com/TechMain.html it will explain the entire swap for you. i also suggest swapping in a manual tranny and getting rid of the A4LD auto slushbox. as for a rear, pull the rear out of the turbocoupe (manual cars are 3:55's and auto cars are 3:73's) this will also give you rear disc brakes, but the rear is just a little wider so stick with the 15" wheels and tire combo
