I changed the bulb out thinking that maybe it was bad but it is still significantly dimmer than the other one. Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? Any ideas on how to fix this? Posted by: CODY2003 Might be a loose connection, moisture in the housing, bad relay, could be a lot of things. Posted by: badass98svt i think cody covered all the bases. disconnect the harness and look at, make sure theres no corrosion. reattach the harness, and make sure it "clicks".if there was moisture in the housing (behind the glass) i would think that you could see it. might be a bad ground. was the light bulb socket clean when you swapped the bulb, or was there some corosion in there? Posted by: drummerstang98 getting some dielectric grease for it wouldn't hurt also, when you disconnect the plug Posted by: JSTaGT Do you have or know somebody that has volt/ohm meter? Put it on it and check the voltage. If the voltage reads good then it's the connection between the base and the connector. If not then it could be a few of the thing already mentioned. Check the other side as well they should be very close in voltage. I'll dig up the wirring diagram for you and get the voltage reading it should be. Are you the original owner? If you are and depending on when you purchased it still may be under warranty. If it is bring it to the dealer it should be a $0 fix for you. Posted by: trucker2812 test voltage and amperage at both lights if same= bulb - if not =wiring or connection Posted by: Mustang5L5 Check the voltage and the grounds Posted by: badass98svt I hope he figured it out by now... This was back in January. Posted by: 03GT yes, I was recently washing my car and saw that there is water in my drivers side foglight. what do I do?? Posted by: Mustang5L5 Drill a small drain hole in the bottom of the fog light Posted by: Prafopi Another cause for uneven brightness in fog lights could be in the wiring harness. Posted by: 00GT&03L I just reaplaced mine, it was the easiest fix and not to expensive. Posted by: MCRPARTS Quote:
