Ran a semi-quick 96-98GT

First off I know those years can be made incerdibly fast but I'm saying this was a N/A model without a doubt with some bolt-ons/gears.

Anyways, I was taking a study break and I figured let me take my car out for a cruise. I haven't done this in a while (e.g. driving no where important...just random places). Anyways I see a green 96-98 GT with exhaust and "bigger" tires out back getting on the highway. Give him about 15 seconds, and guess what, he's on my ass.

Ok...he gets around me and then I get behind him. He gets an open patch and punches it...as do I

He pulled like 5 feet at first since he punched it before me but I stopped his pull and we're even for about 2-3 seconds and then I'm starting to get closer to him so I go around him.

Then he tries a ricer fly-by

don't think so. I punched it at 80 in 4th (not exactly my powerband) but he got up to my rear tire and that was it. Then we both let off because we saw two cops up the road. He came along side of me and pointed at them and then gave me

impressive story. its good to know you can hang with those 8 cylinders. but i'd still prefer my 8 cyl. over your 4 banger anyday. have you raced any 5.0s or 99+gts? how about cobras? im just curious, i'd hate to get my ass mopped by a 4 banger. d'oh! that would make for a bad day.

Yea always prefer the 8 over the 4 or 6. I don't care if it was slower. My preference.

I ran an new SRT-4 and pulled about 5 cars on the highway before he let out. But there are some really quick ones that have some work done to them.

i love them. they can make some really great power on the stock bottom end. maybe for a daily driver, but the stang gets priority. i havent had a chance to run one yet.
