Tragedy at Hendrick Motorsports

A Hendrick Motorsports owned plane headed for Martinsville Speedway in VA. this morning has crashed killing all aboard. The list of the deceased are as follows:
The FAA confirms everyone on board was killed. The list of passengers is as follows: Ricky Hendrick, John Hendrick, Kimberley Hendrick, Jennifer Hendrick, Dick Tracy, Joe Jackson, Liz Morrison, Jeff Turner, Randy Dorton, and Scott Lathum

Ricky Hendrick is Rick Hendricks son, John Hendrick is Rick's brother and runs the day to day operations of Hendrick Motorsports, Kimberly & Jennifer Hendrick are Rick's neice's, Randy Dorton is the head engine builder for Hendrick Motorsports.

Please remember all of them and their families in your prayers.

Oh man i was watching the race and they said that the plane had gone down but there wasnt any info at the time this is so sad :-(

That's horrible. Hubby was telling us about it while we were watching a movie earlier.

The company that hubby works for is working on one of Hendrick's shops and he said they shut it down today and probably for the rest of the week. They aren't letting anyone in but the people that need to get ready for the race this weekend. They've halted all of the construction until they open it back up

very very sad. sounds like the airport they were landing at is one of the worst in the country.

Yup, exactly.....that Airport has no instrument capabilities for minor traffic and it's situated in the middle of the mountains with all of the weather and fog. Smaller private traffic have to rely on visuals for take off, approach & landing.
