Request: Please turn off photo resizing

Could you please turn OFF the forum's auto-resizing?! It really makes pictures look like crap.

I purposely resized the pictures down to 800x600 so they would be forum friendly. 800px wide should be fine for most any screen.
The forum software resized them down to 650x487 and used a super lossy algorithm to do it. The pics look awful.

Compare whats in the thread to the real pics (still at 800px wide) hosted on my photobucket account.

This seemed like a really good idea at the time, and maybe it still would be if the resizing algorithm wasn't so brain-dead.

I kinda like it. In fact, the first time it did it to me i really liked it a lot. I brought it up on stangnet in a mod discussion as something to try.

Another for definitely not liking it. The picture quality is terrible after, and you can resize the pics with Irfanview or Photobucket.

The feature is pretty cool, but it is the way it works. It makes the picture quality horrible after.
