This is only an observation...

I sure wish some of these guests would register so, we can see who you are. It's kinda like someone peeking in the window, I couldn't imagine only being able to listen or read a conversation. They should join in the conversation, or perhaps maybe start one !

This was at 11:35 this morning.... 16 guests, 7 members !

But couldn't you check the box that says remember, as in your login in info?

Then you wouldn't have to keep logging in evertime you hit the forum...

Just a thought...

i do but, computer gets shutdown alot and therefore the memory gets deleted as well

It's not your memory.. It's your cookies in the web browser. You must be running or doing something to clean up your cookies ..

And don't ask me why they call em cookies..

And as for guests... They could be from anywhere in the world and just hitting the site through a google search. OR they can be spies Jim.. Spies I tell ya Spies...they know you got a good thing and want to clone it..

There's always a bunch of guests it seems. I'm thinking that a lot of them are people who search Google for, say, a problem they're having with their Mustang, and it pops up our forum. So they come to read that single thread, but may not be interested in more than that.

It's fine -- it helps our Google relevance.

Edit -- just read the 2nd part of Dark Cobra's post. Yep, Google FTW!
And Spies. Probably ricers.

I come up as a guest when I'm at work because I share my computer with a bunch of people. I don't want them to be able to check which web sites I've been on and already have me logged in. But if I see something that I want to type to I sign in.
Now hopefully when we get this "new age" computer system that we've been talking about for 3 years next month I will have my own lap top that I will be able to have the computer remember me.

OR............. I'm I just one of the spies?

Right now 17 guest and 2 spiders, and 5 members, on this forum.... hhmm.. but I admit I just "check in" as a guest sometimes, My security software clears my temp, cache, and cookies automatically when I close EI, so I always have to log in if I want to all the sites I go to...

Ya thats the one.. its a fun little app, but it can get you into trouble if you don't use it right..
back on topic.. I think that most members from time to time just look at the forum as a guest, for one reason or another.
