PS: of course I didn't get rid of my car. I found the escort on craigslist for $500 so I could not pass it up. Just over 100K on it, new clutch, runs mint. It'll be a great winter beater.

alex, congrats man...gotta be a good feeling to know you don't have to drive the stang every day!! The best part is that the beater is a wagon...you'll find very quickly how convienent it is to have a vehicle with utility.

Are you going to insure it all year or just in the winter? Having the ability to make quick trips in the beater vs the stang has its advantages.

This is true, and you'll notice how much more fun the stang is when you're not constantly driving it.

I'm insuring it all year, I've been driving it all week to work. Insurance is dirt cheap for that thing, especially cause I made it my primary car. You are absolutely right, it makes things a lot easier all around, plus I can do all the things that I can't normally do with the stang (aka. beat the snot out of it, and not worry about it all the time.)

Hell yea, the stang feels like a rocket ship after driving the scort all week. The clutch feels heavy as hell too lol.
