Guy's and Ladies,

East Coast Camaro Club has a Cruise Night at the Fuddruckers in Methuen on Sunday afternoons 4pm - ??. I think it is time we payed them a MUSTANG visit!! Hopefully the weather will co-operate. I think this also calls for a meet at the ROCK prior to, so this way we all show up together! We met the Camaro Club at the Budweiser show and they really seem to think they are better than us. Let's show them!!

Anybody in?

Posted by: jeffl9682

IM in!!!! I hate camaros. lol

Posted by: chinky

Sounds like fun. I will be gone Sunday til about 10pm.
Chinky

Posted by: serviceman1

sounds intersting I will check out the chedule and get back in touch

Posted by: slammed06

ahhh I see so ya wanna crash the party hey...hmmm sounds good. I'm in let me know what time to meet.

Posted by: MJwrabbit

Hey everyone! Nice to meet everyone at the Bud show!

So, you're gonna crash our party?
I would love to see an awesome showing of the NHMC at our cruise night! This is our first year for this cruise night and it has not gotten off to a great start thanks to the weather. We have Raffles, 50/50, music and "Fuddruckers Pick" awards. There are also some great restaurants surrounding the cruise parking lot.

You have some pretty impressive cars! Hope to see you there!

or should I say.."show us what you've got!"

Sounds like fun!

Would be good to have some combo events/cruises with them. I'm sure they're good people even though they like Camaros.
(But it's probably not their fault, they were just raised incorrectly... )

Posted by: gilmar4

Guys, Ladies,

They want to see what we got.... Let's show them!!

I say this Sunday, meet at the ROCK at 3:30 pm, leave at 3:45 and STAMPEDE down 28 S to FUDDRUCKERS.

This could be the biggest STANG CHAIN since HARPOON!

DON"T MISS THIS EVENT!! GREAT PHOTO OPPS!

Posted by: chachee52

Just as long as the Camaro people up here aren't like the one in NY on the way back from PA that flipped us off.
Actually, believe it or not, the Camaro show at the Tech was the first show that I took my mustang when I first got it. Good poeple up here!
If I'm back from the lake in time, I'll head over.

Posted by: jeffl9682

Ill definitely be there!! NOt sure where exactly the rock is but id love to meet u all there at 330.

jeff

Posted by: ToplessPony94

I'm in, assuming the person I'm helping to move on the weekend is done with me in time.

This will probably be a great cruise night , as I'll bet knowing we're coming will make a lot of the Camaro folks turn up to "show the flag" even if they weren't going to. And it'll be fun to get a look at their cars, too. I'll admit I've always had a soft spot for the 67 Camaro!

Posted by: jeffl9682

i do hate camaros normally but i really love (not sure the year) 2002ish camaro ss with the center rear exhaust.

Posted by: gilmar4

I kinda like the 79 - 81 Firebirds

Posted by: serviceman1

cut it out if you really like the chumpmaro why did you buy the pony.because we all know the ponies rule. By the way taking 28 will probably break the train with all those lights and shoppers, just food for thought.

"The Rock" is Rockingham Park (horse) race Track. Exit 1 off 93 in NH. Look for a whole passel of Mustangs under the overpass.

Edit: Here's a map

Jeff, are you on AOL IM or anything? PM me me your screen name or cell phone. Next time I go to anything ill give you a buzz to cruise over

Nothing wrong with appreciating the competition a bit. If somone wanted to give me a 67 RS I wouldn't turn it down. If I had it I'd drive it now and again. But no way would I get rid of my pony for it! The important thing is that we enjoy what we drive, whatever it may be. I enjoy ponies most; that's why I have one. But the world would become an uninteresting place fast if everyone drove a Mustang. Peace!

Posted by: jeffl9682

i sent u a pm torchred. Just cause i said i love them doesnt mean id ever buy one. lol. Ill def be at "the rock" sunday around 330. See you all there. Serviceman is right about the traffic on 28 and all the lights. the highway may be better. It may take longer but def the easiest route if we wanna all cruise in together.

The trouble with the Hiway is getting off Rte 213 and getting onto 28. Then everyone has to turn left into traffic to enter Fuddruckers.

Posted by: only90s

Not sure if I can make this Sunday...I will try...a loud blower whine from a Fox rolling in would be nice!!!!

If I am not there...try this if you all get seperated...meet at Wendys right before Fudruckers...then all pull out together, but have one Car block the traffic for the right lane so everyone can pull out at once...then the blocking car can take up the rear of the train.....we do that on the Harleys all the time....

Posted by: slowpony

That sounds like fun, but I can't make it, gotta work. I agree with only90s, on the rt28 trip, use wendy's or even the gaythorn parking lot to "stage" the roll in!

Posted by: jeffl9682

ya this is goin to be a great time. Ill pull out and block traffic then bring up the rear. lol Let people beep and swear at me lol

Posted by: jeffl9682

we should get a head count now just to keep track.

Looking forward to seeing some Mustangs at Fudds on Sunday.

A couple of things to remember....Absatively/posalutely NO burnouts, and no loud car audio.

Other than that...it's all good!!

Posted by: masscobra03

I'm going to try and make this one too.

Doug,

I hear what you are saying...., NHMC is a 20 year old club with responsible members that are planning on attending the cruise night to help support your event.

Although we appreciate what you are saying about burnouts, the same applies at our club cruise nights, nothing new to us.
Oh, one other thing, Mustangs are not Asian made, we are not considered "Tuners". We put our emphasis on performance, not audio...

Is there anything else...., while we now consider Sundays event?

Jim Gillis
Vice President NHMC

First of all most of our members are Mature Adults in the 30-50 year old range and even our young members are Responsible

Second..Loud Stereos . ..we are not into Freakin Hondas, Scions or Toyotas.....Our Exhausts, Blowers and Mouths might be loud, but not our stereos

Third I used to be a Big Block Chevy Guy so I respect the Bow Ties...and I used to own a Dodge Ram, so we are not coming to be asses or cause trouble.... just hang out

Posted by: only90s

Second Meeting Spot....NOT WENDYS

Just drove by 28....better place to meet is at the Campus of the Lawrence Collab School...it is on the right hand side just past the Wendys and Getty Station...meet up there and then we can roll into Fuddruckers...blasting our stereos....and laying down some RUBBER

only kidding Doug...Im kind of a Wiseass

Posted by: slammed06

Hey guys. I want this to be a good thing for this sunday and I believe it will be because of the common thread and that is cars. I think we can agree that we all need to act accordingly and a little bench racing dosen't hurt anyone Jim I will call you tomorrow about some details as to this planned cruise in and if not I will see you at our cruise tomorrow night.

I look forward to meeting the people from the camaro club and checking out some of those f- bodies

Guys,
Plan is still on! I don't think we will have anymore surprise sheriff's stopping by the forums, laying down the lay again. The folks at the Camaro club were unaware at this and are very excited about us coming.
We have to give them a good showing, a sign of unity in our circle. Hope to see alot of you guys there.

We'll meet at the ROCK at 3:30, leave at 3:45
re-group at Campus of the Lawrence Collab School. RTE 28 @ 4 pm

I'm up at the lake right now, and if the weatheris good I'm going to utilize the time to get some boat time in. This is the first time allseason that I've been able to be up here. If the weather is windy or just not good enough to take the baot out then I will be down to cruise to the show. I'd love to be there to represent the early models!!

Chinky

Posted by: MY-S281

Quite a bit of lightning going on here!!

Not sure I have a problem driving in the rain, but not to keen on standing outside surrounded by steel.......lol..

if you get my drift...

I see what happens in the next 15 or so and decide, I am only 5 mins from Fuds..

Posted by: PULNGZ

Sorry & Not sorry that I didn't make it. It turned into the "Dark Side" in my parts about 3pm......and then the HAIL followed, and then the thunder & lightening!!!

I hope you guys didn't get caught up in the hail....cause that stuff can cause a bit of unwanted damage to the exterior of the car.......

Posted by: MY-S281

Well all things considered we have a pretty good turnout..

I think we had 10 Mustangs total show up

Good Job NHMC...

Jim G has pics of some awards I believe..

Here's a few pics I snapped..

This was right before we rolled in.. sorry about the raindrop on the lens on the first few pics and my fat thumb on the others.....

I'm not much of a photographer...

Here is a couple from after we rolled in..

A big thank you to all of you who made the cruise! I also appreciate the effort of those of you who tried but the weather was just too much. I know how hard it is with the weather. Those of you who made it know that I didn't bring my Camaro today. It was a tough decision but it was heavy rain, thunder and lightening at my house when I left. I just couldn't bring myself to take it out. Of course, when I got to 495 it was dry as a bone! Figures. Oh well, the way this year is going.....what can you do?

Anyway, it was really great to see all those Mustangs driving in!!! You have some really nice cars there! We try to have the cruise every Sunday (weather permitting). There will not be one Sept 7th as it is our show day at the Tech College. The last cruise night will be September 28th. Hopefully we can have at least one nice evening before the season is over.

You are all welcome anytime to any of our events. I look forward to seeing you all again!

Jim, I am still interested in seeing what we can come up with for the clubs! I think it would be awesome!

Thanks,

Ed...., relax! We're going to explore a few things.

I did take some pics, will download them later. Didn't realize though that I took the pics without the memory card, so they were taken on the internal memory of the camera. Now I got to figure this out!!
We should go to this cruise again! Yes there were trophies...., ED!
Mark, Only90's left, he was the first picked, but you have to stay to get them. He left, then they decided to do the trophy presentation before anyone else left because of rain. Donny V, Yellow 2000 S/C GT Conv, ultimately won the first, I won second, and Serviceman1 (Paul) 2003 Azure Blue Mach 1 took the final!
Although, the cruise was small, I think it had to do with the rain and storm that swirled around us all afternoon. We did end up with a showing of 10 Mustangs. The folks at the ECCC (EC Camaro Club), the Firebird Club, and Doug, are very nice people and sure gave us a welcome! They invite us back anytime, we should do this again,.... and again. Then get them to visit us too! I will keep a post going for the next few weeks in hopes the weather will start to get better. I mean, there is really nothing going on most Sunday afternoons, right?!!

For all you guys who showed yesterday, THANK YOU!! For coming out in the rain....I will detail spray your Mustangs at Mel's Wednesday Night!! REALLY!!

Mr. VP..thanks again for setting this up...

Congrats to all the winners....there was a Blue Saleen and a Silver Terminator there that could have also easily taken home the Hardware.....

No Trophy for that loser in the Fox....cant give someone a trophy if they leave early

Jim do they do this every week with the awards/trophys or was this just a one time thing????

Posted by: TorchRedSVT

looks like a pretty good turn out..bummed I couldn't make it.

Literally, as soon as I opened my garage door and went to start the cobra there was a huge clap of thunder. Unfortunatley at that point I closed the door and went back inside.

Posted by: jeffl9682

It was very nice to meet all that showed up. Me and the gf had a great time. I felt so innadequate popping my hood. lol all the machs, cobra, saleen and me. lol. Well i do have the lowest mustang of the bunch so thats good.

We award plaques every week. The Manager at Fuddruckers picks a winner/winners and we draw out of a hat for a winner just to give everyone a level playing field. We saw it done at another cruise night and thought it was a good idea.

This is the first year for this cruise night and we have been hit with storm after storm. We started the season with 40 - 50 vehicles per night. Spread the word and hope that the weather improves!

Thanks Jim for putting the cruise together, despite the rain it all turned out OK. To bad for only 90s leaving early his car was a good looking fox body and should have won he has certainly done some mod wrok to that nasty thing. But I am glad he left so I could get the plack. Not to bad we go to a camaro club event and take home all the hardware. Even if there wre only a few of the members there. Jim I will try to leave the car dirty till Wednesday night probably not gonna hapen.

Posted by: langod

Sounds like it was a good time.

I almost made it. But it's really a good thing I didn't try. Just at the time I was thinking about leaving, we started one of the worst thunderstorms I've ever experienced! I was watching the radar loop and the cells were popping up literally over my house. My pool filled up 2 inches in less than an hour! Pulngz lives only a couple of miles away and he had hail!

Makes me much happier to see you other guys win anyway

Those that know me..understand I am not an awards guy...I just like to go hang out and talk horsepower/torque and mods ...I made a decision not to enter my Fox in any more shows...good thing I made the great escape or I would have had some explaining to do to myself

I know what you mean. I was out on the boat yesterday near Center Harbor and watched a cell form over my cottage. Had to go back to Center Harbor and wait it out, took 2 hours for it to actually move out. It just formed a grew and sat there!!
Some good lightning on the drive home though.

Let's not confuse show's with Cruise nights. I do not want to attend show's anymore either. I have NO interest n winning trophies, unless it's CA$H! I have plenty of trophies!
I like just hanging out with you guys, wiping down the cah's, talking shit, etc...

I just enter the shows to give myself a "homebase" to hang out at.

LOL.......sigh. I love how people are bailing on Fun ford becuase they are opening it up to all brands.

I may join you guys at the Rock Sat morning, at least take the cruise up with you all. Not sure what the plan is yet for Sat, I still have to be at cruise night HD and get ready to wear the apron on Sunday. But I think I have a few hours in the morning, if I cut out around 1-2pm
Cheeseburgers and potato salad!!! MMMMMh mmmm!!!

No, I'm bailing for free food at the club picnic. But, while I understand why FFW is opening up competition on Sunday, I still think it's lame.

They should call it "Fun Ford Saturday" and "Fords versus the World" for Sunday.
