cool car but i dont know if 70k was in his price range ha ha ha

Posted by: Mustang5L5

Yeah, i dunno if i can do a $70K (plus dealer markup) car quite yet.

Posted by: NastySVT

I sold my 04 loaded G35 and bought my Cobra never been happier. Buy my cobra instead!

I can't do a Mustang as a DD anymore. Too rough and loud for me and too small inside.

I spent the entire weekend driving an '08 Lexus around and loved every second. Never had to take the keys out of my pocket. Just walk up to the door, pull and hop in and push a button and go. It was great.

I love Mustangs, but i can't drive them as an everyday car anymore. I could have a 600 rwHP '04 Yellow cobra convertible and still say the same thing.

Get the G, dammit. I lose track between mine and the Stang as to which gets more compliments. Most likely the G though because I drive the Stang about 3% of the time :p

Simple answer... The New Lexus IS F . Pricey but for a 415 hp 5.0 liter luxury quality car with an 8 speed (ferrari quality) tiptronic. I'd buy it in a second. f'n sweet ride for about 60 grand loaded.

IS F is an awesome car. AWD model should be available in '09 from what i've read.

Ian, if i get a G35, it needs to be a '06 model fully loaded with all the toys. Reason i want '06 is a few mechanical changes and interior options not available in 05-earlier.

07+ is the new body style...and honestly I'm not a fan. I would go for a nice '07 though if i found it.

Only reason i haven't bought anything now is i REFUSE to dump my GT. Trade-in offers have been $6000-7000 and that's a huge loss to me. NADA is Around $11K now and id take $10K for it...maybe even consider $9500. If i don't sell it...hey, no big deal i have a reliable car with no car payment for a little while longer. Even next year if i finally do dump it off in trade i'd prob get around the same as i would now, save about 6 months of payments and the car i'd want would be cheaper anyway.

Lexus does have some sweet lease deals though with unlimited mileage if you stay in a lexus. They also have free maintainence and the warranty, so no more oil changes or any maintaince. I like that a lot as i have ZERO desire to work on cars anymore I could see myself getting an IS350 now and then going to an ISF down the road.

DO it.. IS-F .. I saw one last week at the Providence Place Mall. It really didn't stickout until you walked around it.. Man was it sweet.. And it was silver !!

Posted by: NastySVT

I am a certified lexus technician.. lol ISF is a hot car but too pricey. Z06>ISF same price

Posted by: TorchRedSVT

mike buddy , i hear ya loud and clear. I am bringing my car next week to have springs and caster camber plates done becuase I don't want to work on it anymore....those days are over for me.

now is a tough time to sell a Mustang...especailly a V8 one....its a buyers market which is not easy. I hope you are able to sell it becuase it really is an above average mustang.

Posted by: Mustang5L5

I'm not in a rush to sell. When it sells it sells. Like i said, in the meantime, i have a reliable, fun car that's paid off to drive around in.

This fall i'm going to look for a cheap little 4-banger to drive as i want to start using a commuter car rather than rack up 400 miles/week on the Mustang or whatever car i drive. before i took my new job, i would barely drive 10K miles/year even going to work. If i can find a commuter, i can get a 10K mile lease on either a G35x or an IS 250 AWD (or IS350).

Plus i am in line for a promotion at work...so maybe my price range will bump a tad
