It was powered by a 302 topped with a pair of 500 Holley 2 barrels sending power through a 4 speed ending in a 4;56 rear. I rarely used 1st gear and stayed off the interstate. Gee, why did my mom always stay up until I got home. Sold it a year after this was taken for 2 reasons, the rear shackles were rusted and almost coming through the trunk and enlisting in the USAF. Thats my story and I am sticking by it...How about anybody else????

Posted by: bullitt5177 Haha, mine's in the sig. Fred, that fastback looks sick. Posted by: ToplessPony94 The one in my sig is my one and only.... Since 1994, since I'm the original owner. Posted by: chinky I had a 1983 Capri "Black Magic Edition".4 spd,T-Tops with the stock gold rims and "cat" on the front quaters ,and the special Black and Gold interior. That was the only one I hav ever scene around the area. Haven't scene one since. Only if I knew what I know now, there would be no way I would have gotten rid of that car. Damn I miss it! I have to find some pics. Chinky Posted by: Capriman86 Quote:
Black cats are awesome! My first fox was a 86 Mercury Capri 5.0, this was in 92ish? I was hooked to capri's ever since

Posted by: chachee52 What you see in the sig is my first. Bought it about 5 years ago because I wanted a toy. Was actually looking at a 16ft center consol boat to fish in. and stumbled across this in the Want Ads. I think that I made the better (more expensive) choice!! Posted by: Keeper This was my first, bought it in July of 2007, totaled it in October of 07 ! Was pulling out off a bridge in Rumford Maine, looked both ways...started to pull out, looked again and there was an 18 wheeler barrel assing around the corner in a 25mph zone...i hadn't quite let off the clutch yet and as i saw the big ol truck coming i floored it...the tires spun and i fishtailed, I tried to get control of the car as it headed into oncoming traffic, I then did a 180 in the middle of the road and went straight into a rock wall . The bitch of it was the rock wall was about 8 feet long...on either side of the wall was just grass...so had i been off a couple feet either way I would just gone onto the grass, but...oh well. I didn't hit anyone or hurt anyone, I survived but the car didn't.

Posted by: slammed06 This was my first one of many money pits to come 1993 gt This picture was taken 5 years later and the paint was original
Posted by: Mustang5L5 My 1990 2.3L Mustang fresh when i turned 16 back in 1998. I wish i kept it and did a 5.0 swap. It had a nice rare exterior color - Light Crystal Blue and the paint was in great shape. Overall the car was a 9 our of 10. I sold it to buy my '88 5.0.
Posted by: Keeper Yeah, to this day I still find myself replaying the whole thing in my mind, every time I do I cringe at the thought ...poor car. BUT you are certainly right, the fact that I walked away with just a cut on my forehead (from a flying CD that popped out of the visor cd holder...lol) is whats important. Cars can be replaced, I can't! When I first got my new stang I was actually scared to drive it...kept thinking of the accident in the old one...not sure if thats normal but man...the thought of crashing another mustang ! I'm fine now...but I find myself babying the car alot, no chirping the tires, no crazy driving...and MOST of the time I do the speed limit ...find myself cruising in the slow lane on the highway!!...UGH...ok I've shared too much...I feel like a wuss now ...
Posted by: badass98svt My first car, a 1981 Mustang GL. She was a beauty. Bought it in 97 with 81k on it. I think I paid like $525 for it. It was a 200c.i. straight 6 with a 4 speed. T-tops, pw, Porno Red leather (nit vinyl)
Posted by: fredfordguy It was a very quick car, looking back I can be glad I didn't get hurt in it. We used to 1/8 mile drag on a bridge over the merrimack river. Never drank and drove, my license meant too much to me. Ridden with some pretty hammered drivers though...... Posted by: 03redfiregt First and last!!! gonna bury me in it!! Posted by: langod Bought a 1987 GT brand new. I had saved up for a year to put a ton down so I could afford the payments. Total price was $11,700 out the door. Bought it in February of 1987. They were a delayed production car, and it was one of the very first of the new 87 design delivered in New England. I didn't see others around for almost 6 months.
