I don't know that I will bother putting it back on the car again because if you get caught out with it and you need to put the top up for any reason at all you cant... Basically I hear of all the stories of people holding on to the original parts on their cars that have been modded and ultimately they end up getting rid of the parts years later when cleaning out a cellar or where ever they have stored the items so my question is do I keep them or sell them and get a few $$$ now while I can... Posted by: ToplessPony94 I have a cellar full of old parts and some of them came off the car 9 years ago. I have realized that the car is so modded that it would take a month for a ford tech to bring it back to stock if he had a parts car to help. I'm going to sell whatever I have for a few bucks as soon as I can find the time to make the list. IMHO, that's a smarter thing to do that keeping it forever like I did. ![]() As for the Tonneau / Speedster Cover, those look sexy if you have your car at a multi-day indoor car show, but I haven't much other use for one. Posted by: badass98svt You heard my input at pep Boys. Posted by: Xerxeese dont keep the wheels.... Find someone (me) who needs something better than the v6 stockers and work a deal out hehehe Posted by: serviceman1 If your intent is to keep the car and someday sell it for all the money then the original parts will add value. But with the engine mods you have done you would have to bring it all back to stock. Look at the car auctions on TV stock is always worth the money. So i guess the decision is will you spend the money to bring it all back to stock at time of sale or hope for the best with the mods. Posted by: Mustang5L5 Keep it all. Posted by: Orange SS If you think you can sell them for more money in the future, hang on to them, if not, sell them now. You removed the parts for a reason, to upgrade or modify your car, do you think you put any of the parts back on? Now, if I could only convince Chris of this, my house would be lighter. Posted by: TorchRedSVT well, what's your goal with the car? Do you plan to keep it forever or do you anticipate a day ever coming when you will sell it? IF there is even the slightest question or doubt about the future of the car...keep all the stock stuff. It's just not worth it to sell it all. As a potential buyer, if i looked at a modified car, the very FIRST thing I would ask is where the stock parts are and if you still have them. If you don't , I'd walk becuase it meant you either didn't care or your bought the car modded and have no clue of its history. Obviously, just my opinion. Unless you are in a space crunch situation and HAD to sell the stock stuff my vote goes for keeping it. Posted by: LILBLKSNAKE I say hold onto it, you never know what you can sell on Tony's swapmeetauction.com in like 30 years!! People might be looking to do a factory restoration or eventually you might wanna do that. That stuff could all be worth millions!! Posted by: jmac72187 I keep all of my stock parts. Most likely you will get more money putting your car back to stock and selling the after market parts separately. Posted by: Mr03mach1 Barry, How about you and I ask Jim if we can set up a table on one of our Sat night cruises. I have a garage full of stuff I'm sick of tripping over, I'm thinking I'd like to give it all away at this point........... Posted by: LILBLKSNAKE Quote:
