Hey guys and gals... I was curious to see if anyone from here was going to this show? http://www.summernationals.com/index2.html

Easily one of the biggiest events in NE, lets put it this way...I spend two days there and never get to see all the cars. Not to mention the madness once the sun goes down!

Headed down on Saturday and staying until Sunday looks to be a pretty good little crew.

Awwyea
Lxfiveo
03redfireGT
myself
I think Salvo is coming along as well

If anyone else is interested post up, going to be an early day on Saturday so as to get down to the Park and grab a good spot. Should be there both days on Saturday ( july 5th ) and sunday ( july 6th ).

Ill be playing with a different set of wheels this weekend.. I'll be playing on the ATV alllll weekend long !

Posted by: awwyea

I will be there Fri- Sun...Both my car and bike are registered.

Posted by: chachee52

If I get a lot done this week at the new house maybe I'll head down either Sat or Sunday. My friend lives in Worchester so I could just stay at his house. If I go I'll kee pmy eyes out for you guys.

Posted by: masscobra03

Would love to be there but I'll in Western NY for the weekend at my friend's cottage on Lake Erie.

Posted by: lxfiveo

I have to be there to let you guys in! lol Looking forward to it since I seem to be down and out in the shop every July for the past gazillion years.

Posted by: lxfiveo

How come I see drag racing listed on their flyers but I don't see it listed on their schedule. Anyone know when and where that will take place. I might be up for putting down some wannabees this weekend!

Posted by: awwyea

It's done downtown in the tunnel at night. Call Mosscoffian's Towing and ask to speak with whomever is coordinating the races (Bob Mosscoffian runs the whole event). They will get you hooked up.

Posted by: LILBLKSNAKE

I'm working at the bakery Friday and Saturday so the part-time kids can all go have fun.

Posted by: GRIFFIN7T1

Imma be thurrr!

Posted by: TorchRedSVT

the drag racing is a joke....basically its cars doing long ass burnouts up the tunnel and spectators sit on the sides of the tunnel and watch. It's not true drag racing.

It would be cool to see you there for that Steve though!!

Posted by: Dark_Cobra

Damn...

U guys are gonna be the end of me . I'm trying to figure out how to do this with the family now. I'm sure it's the first thing Chan wants to do after her return flight in from her 10 day trip to visit mom in Tenn.

If I go, I won't be staying over night though.

I doubt I'd run it hard though, just run pump gas and 15# of boost. Car can run race fuel and probably closer to 40# now with the new 88mm turbo and 4" exhaust.

wish i were home this weekend. would like to see the return of the yellow turbo stang

We'll see....has not been on the dyno and haven't had a chance to go down to NJ yet to spend a day with Eric and Job to tune the car some more. But I do know that the downpipe is super trick. DMC just finished up. No idea how they managed to fit a 4" downpipe on a '94-'95 car, but they did. It runs down and meets up with the existing 3" exhaust, but has removable cap right before the exhaust so that it can simply dump. That is why the boost can be run so much higher is because of the drastic decrease in backpressure that 4" allows compared to 3".

Anymore pics of that giant turbo?

I didn't take a single picture, had no camera. My camera is at the bottom of the Bass River down on the cape

All I can say for steve's car is breaking the 1000hp barrier shouldn't be an issue for him.

Todd, the somke is from the burn out show. There is a burnout pad at the show...cars line up 20 deep to burn out until the tires pop.

For those who have never been, here is some of the madness that ensue's at the Nationals. Just as an FYI, no one was hurt

Here is the video:

Posted by: chachee52

See!! something was on fire!! HEHEHE
Just saw a lot of smoke and a fire truck. Last time I saw that at a concert, the woods were on fire next to me!!

Posted by: badass98svt

Man, we need to fix the pic resolition. They all look real "pixely". Kinda looks like Youtube still photos.

Nice pics regardless though. Thanks guys.

Damn Ian, that looks like it was real bad. Where the hell were the fire extinguishers. There's NO excuse for not being better prepared. I bet next year they will have Fire Extinguishers.

Posted by: TorchRedSVT

there was a fire truck right next to the burnout pad, as a precaution. If you watch the video the firedepartment hoses down the car pretty quickly.

I didn't take those pictures but ripped them off from another local forum so sorry about the quality.

All in all attendance wasn't as great as in years past, I suspect the weather was the biggest reason why as Saturday was overcast all day.

i did watch it.
It didn't look to be too in control. They were using a garden house to put it out.
