I could not believe that this actually occured and everyone just stood there.

Actually made me a little ill to think something like this could happen and no one would do anything..

I will say the police did show up pretty quick so someone must have called.. just mind boggling that people just stood there like nothing happened though...

Ill, for sure. And the sad truth is that the cops were on their way to a different call when they spotted the situation and stopped.

I'm sure that most of the people were on the cell dialing 911! Which would be MOST beneficial. Also some people have trouble responding to traumatic situations. I once encountered a Highway "Roll-over" and the guy was blood riden on his head/face....and then I noticed his nose was GONE.....I was having trouble with that all of a sudden.

Plus....That guy straight up look liked he was targeted as a hit. The guy who got hit...clearly...looked both ways, and then these two covered the odd side of the street (full width with a trailing car), and cut down the immediate side street. Either that or racing?!?!?! Looked to busy for a racing enviroment.

makes me feel better knowing that my cousin has just moved from Boston back to Syracuse to live...what a bunch of shit that is, hell the damn guy on the moped turned around just to get a closer look and then went on his way!

Just imagine if that happened in NYC, people would be like hmmm anything good on the person hit, and then go on there merry way

after seeing this on the news a few times, its just utterly disgusting and makes me worry about the future of this country. Bunch of selfish assholes

look around and observe the news and this shouldnt really surprise you much at all, things are really turning ugly in the passed 6months if you think about it. economy has turned worse, crime has increased, violence has gone up...and the care for human nature is really low as you can see from the people in this video how they just observe and not try to react to what occured.

ok... there is something VERY fishy about this video.

Not only did no one "react" to the hit and run. The people who were passed by the cars ALSO didnt react to being passed (no brake lights, swerving etc)

And the cops reaction time ? When has a cop EVER been to the scene of a crime within a minute (short of that crime happening at dunkin donuts)

It almost looks staged in some way.

As far as the people standing around, what were they supposed to do ? I see many on phones, possibly calling 911. You should NOT move him. this could do more harm than good.

And I'll tell ya, if I just saw that, the LAST thing I would want to do is go stand in the street and be "next"

I think the most disturbing thing about this video is that it would be released to the public in the manner it was. Seems like a news channel is aiming for some ratings.

Nothing Fishy in my opinion, just down right wrong and alarming....

there were plenty of brake lights, the car that got passed on the left hit the brakes immeidately.,, it was a SUV or Van and they swerved and pullled off to the right (@ 0:25) ... it looked like there were 2 cars that were passing the SUV/Van on the left side of the street ( @ 0:20) and thats when the 2nd car hit the guy and also if you noticed both cars immediatley banged a quick right speeding away (@0:26-0:28), then another SUV hit the brakes (@ 0:31) Then the dump truck slowed to almost a stop (@ 0:42- 0:45) and then after that a car stopped while talking to the guy that went to pick up the hat on the ground (@ 0:50-0:54) then as that car is pulling over another van with the bike behind him is braking (@0:59), then as the bike spun around the small white car braked (@ 1

9) and then the box truck also right before the cruiser showed up so saying noone even braked and it looked staged was way off base ask if you ask me..

Obviously people were calling 911 and I agree that you dont want to move him or anything like that but it doesnt appear that the people standing around even checked to see if he was still alive, thats what was the worst part of it in my opinion...

I personally would go see if he was alive and see if he was conscious and I would also stand in the street to stop any other traffic from potentially running the guy over again.,... but thats just how I am.. The involved cars sped away and were not likely to return from the looks of how they bolted when it happened so I wouldnt be too worried about being next to get hit..

I doubt the news released it for ratings., i think they were trying to help the cause honestly...the cops were looking for help so to me there wasnt anything disturbing about releasing the video . obviously the response time by the cops was due to someone calling right away and having a cruiser in the area...

Just my 2 cents!!

I was thinking the same actually, the least you could do is help provide the EMT's with some information about his condition i.e. concious, broken bones, pulse, breathing.

The video isn't fishy, it was releashed to help aprehend the guy who hit him. If you saw the news cast , the family ask people for help in tracking down the guy who hit em.
