Can anyone help with a ride from Pete's on 6/7?

I was supposed to take my car to Pete's and leave it last Saturday, but I ended up dealing with a kidney stone instead. I'd like to bring it up Saturday, June 7th, but this time I don't have a way to get home again. I live in Hudson, NH, but I could arrange to leave a car at the Londonderry HD (aka Cruise Night Spot) at NH Exit 3 on Rt 93. If someone plans on going up to Pete's on Saturday and wouldn't mind helping out, I'd be happy to pay for your gas if I can get a ride back.

Now if I can get a ride back up to Pete's the next Saturday, 6/14 I can make the Father's Day show (and have the dirtiest Mustang in the pack with no time to clean it up before the show)!

Hey Bruce, I am heading up to Pete's on Saturday the 14th for the final tune on the Saleen after the pulley swap out so if you get the car up there this weekend to drop it off I could give you a lift up to Pete's on the 14th. The only thing is, you may have to squeeze in the back seat of the Saleen, my bud Jeff may come with me. I will be heading up to Pete's kind of early on the 14th to give the Kenne Bell plenty of time to cool before I do any pulls.. My appt is for 12:30 but I will be heading up around 8:30 ish on Sat morning.. Just Let me know.. Barry

Barry, I'd be most greatful! The back seat is fine with me as long as I don't have to share it with another full sized adult , but I'd take that, too! (That experience would probably remind me of the kidney stone experience! ) Whatever timing works for you will be fine with me. Shall we meet at the Londonderry HD, or is something else better for you? Or we can figure that closer to the 14th. Depending on what life deals me, I would love to stick around and observe your pulls! Just getting a ride in your car will be a treat!

FWIW, I once gave a ride to two adults in the back of my vert. They were grateful, too, since the other alternative would have been to continue to freeze in a snowstorm in a car that wouldn't start on a back road in North Country! It may have been cramped back there, but it was WARM!

Pete said he'd be there all day, and I'll just be glad to finally get it there. Anytime is just fine with me. There are lots of sayings about beggars and choosers, and I'd be the one begging and you would be the one choosing. I'll take anything I can get.

I have to leave it because one of the problems he's working on for me is a really crappy cold idle after all the recent changes. He'll only get one shot a day at that for the most part, so I'm just hoping he can get it done in a week so I can make it to the Fathers Day Show, dirty car and all. I'll show up anyway, but of course I want to bring the Stang, not the Explorer!

Well, thanks to Jay's help , the car is now at Pete's. And I got a ride in Jay's nice car as an added bonus.

Barry, if you're still going next weekend, I'd greatly appreciate the ride to pick it up. I assume it will be be tuned to take care of several issues by then.

WOW! I wish I had seen that, but I was at my Dad's retirement home in Lowell at the time. Thanks for letting me know; did you happen to catch any hint of the numbers, Barry?

Thanks for the heads up, Barry. I went to the site and played back the recording of yesterday's session. Yes, things look pretty consistent. From what I could see, it got about 277rwhp and about 307rwtq. Not too shabby for an N/A 5.0 motor. But it does puzzle me a bit because it was getting about 257/300 before the latest mods, and the difference sure feels like more than that. I guess I'll have to wait until I talk with Pete/Dana to find out more.

youre talking peak numbers. the difference may be in where these numbers hit and the torque curve.

Yes, I've been looking at that. The torque seems to spend more time at peak. Before it peaked at around 3.5K staying in the peak area from about 3.3 to 4.1, now ramps up to peak at about 4.3K but it's at peak from about 3.6 to 4.75. Power also seems to spend more time at peak. Before it very obviously peaked at about 5.1 and stayed in peak range from about 4.75 to 5.4, but now it peaks around 5.2 and stays around peak from about 4.75 to 5.75. Looks like both power and torque stay high for a broader range than before. It will be interesting to see before and after on the same printout, which I haven't yet.

Picked it up today,thanks to a ride from Barry.
Now to try to clean up one filthy car enough to not embarrass myself tomorrow. I'll enter it if I get it somewhat clean, though it's not really ready for showing at this time.
