My first ticket really. Not bad considering. Anyway, when i pulled over, i yanked the e-brake and instinctively took my seatbelt off. It's a habit. Anyway halfway through it i realized what i was doing and put it back on. Officer thought i was putting it on for the first time. He wouldn't let me explain at all. Anyway, is it considered a moving violation? If it's not, then i'll eat the $35...but if it is, i would want to fight it since I really was wearing it. All i found was this. Last paragraph http://www.mass.gov/legis/laws/mgl/90-13a.htm Kinda pissed more about the seatbelt thing. The speeding doesn't bother me. If that's all it was i would just pay. Look at we we do on some of our cruises...i was due Off to play some grand theft auto to vent.
Posted by: lxfiveo No it isn't. I found this out when complaining at a hearing over an expired inspection sticker....was amazed that a sticker could be a moving violation with points associated with it....they explained everything is except seatbelt violations. BTW, they let me off as I showed them that I got a new sticker later that day. Posted by: Mustang5L5 Ok good. It's not worth it for me to skip out of work to go fight a $35 seat belt ticket. But i'm wondering if i should appeal it anyway. It's only a 45 in a 35 on a wide open 2-lane road and i have a perfect record since i was 16...Hmm... Posted by: bullitt5177 I always fight the ticket, no matter what for. The worst that can happen is that you end up paying the same anyways. Anyways, that's what personal days are for.
Posted by: lxfiveo Fight it Mike....the only ones I ever see get off are the ones with no priors (trust me, I've been to more than a few ticket hearings). Posted by: LILBLKSNAKE Quote:
