I have a 351 short block, but i don't know if it's a W or C. I've been searching around and can't find out how to tell which one it is. And i have no clue what year or what it came out of. Thanks for any help.

Quickest way to tell is to find out where the thermostat is located.

The Cleveland has it on the block right in front of the intake to the passengerside of the distributor and above the water pump.

The Windsor has it located on the intake manifold itself.

How about posting up the stamping on the block or the manifold?

My windsor block has a WF 351 stamped in the lifter valley. Not sure but do all windsor's have this stamp. maybe do a search with the block ID number's to make sure what year as well.

WF is for Windsor Foundry. It is a Windsor.

Post the casting numbers on the outside of the block and I can give you a year and possibly what car it came out of. It should start with something like D5AE or similar.
