I was taking inventory last night of my cleaning supplies

noticed on my list I had a new "Absorber" listed and wondered if there was something better to use to dry my car with

what do you guys use? In the past I have used the "absorber" but i am not thrilled with it..didn't know if there was something better out there.

I personally use the Absorber as well. Kevin let me use his California water blade once, and I liked that as well. Or, you could use a leaf blower too.

I use the asianstanger.. with 100% Terry cloth soft cotton towels.

Had a few absorber's but dropped using them several years ago.

Mr. Clean Auto Dry??

I use a water blade to get the excess off then I use one of those absorber towels. I must have 5 of those things laying around. It's important to rinse the towel each time you use it to get any dirt off. Scratches are bad

That thing works the ballz!

I used to use it on my black 5.0 and every time it would be completely spotless when I was done!

Eh, I used it when I first got the Bullitt, and didn't like it much. It worked for the big stuff, but I couldn't really get the good water in all the crevasses could get the higher pressure water into, so I would still have spots on the rear bumper, hood scoop, and grille.

I have both the Absober and Water Sprite

Water Sprite ftw http://www.autogeek.net/watspritplus.html

Yeah.. That's right I used that for 2 seasons.. But broke one of the friggin green push on adapters (the one on the unit) and can't find replacement adapters anywhere.. I'll Probably buy another this year.. Saved me a ton of time when preppin for local cruise nights.

I've not had any great experience with "The Absorber." Here's why. The absorber has no fibers (like a terry towel does) to grab any microscopic dirt particles in your faucet water, a.k.a. "Tap Water" thats left on your car after a washing. Instead, "The Absober" drags this dirt across the finish of your car. I myself stick with a terry towel. Just my 2 cents and things I've learned by being the automotive parts/accessories business for 15 years.

I saw the detailer use this at a Mercedes dealer a few weeks ago...I bought one and have used it 3 times and love it...takes off about 90% of the water and then I use a soft towel to get any remaining spots...

I have two really big and fluffy bath towels, then I used Qwik Detailer and Micro-fibers for the remaining spots.
Also use Mother's sealer and glaze to fill in swirls once it's dry

You guys are NUTS!!!! Do you use cheap oil too?
A little pebble on that blade and you are done.

I was just reading an article at work about that on Friday!! I think that I'm going to try it for my side vents!!

Posted by: bullitt5177

I've done it once before in the winter. It worked really well, but it requires me to get out the extension cord.
