Here's the results of last weeks take off, gotta have the pumpkin looked at. If $$$ goes well hoping for a new gas tank and spring pack. Gonna strip and detail the underside. This car hasn't seen salt so even though it has almost 170Km the brake line clips and other delicate stuff came apart very well. Hope to have it rolling for spring... Keeping the 2.75 gears, not very strip friendly, but it is nice rolling at 70 mph only spinning 2600. Tony, do you have springs or gas tanks???

You snapped it launching it last weekend?
What is it that broke?

Posted by: fredfordguy

I broke it bad 2 years ago. The KC135 ride was one that I was glad to make it home. Strange clicking sounds while decelerating. Got us home though. It's forced, but a nice winter project to repair and clean it up....

Mike-

I have some bits and pieces from 9" rears around, including 3:89 and 3:25 gears, if you need anything. Got an equalock LSD (pre-tractionlok) needs clutches.

Thanks Tom, is the qualock 28 or 31 spline??? I,m gonna stick with the 2;75's. 99% of miles put on the car are on the highway. At Tasca a few years ago it went 14.3@98 with those awful cogs. Hey Tom, I haven't got the pics you promised me yet...thans for the pieces

NO!!! I will be away that day!!

Posted by: fredfordguy

Started it up a couple weeks ago just to hear the lumpy cam music, didn't shake it off the jackstands fortunately.

That is going to look great!! Hopefully it is done by our first cruise night. I like that "RMACH1" and will be looking for it on the opening cruise night! You are going, right?!!

Posted by: ToplessPony94

Nice!!! Hope to see it on Cruise Night!

May 10.. I will be there !

Posted by: fredfordguy

had a busy weekend, got it all assembled and at 5;50 pm sunday it was on the floor. Stayed with the 275's but the diff was junk so I had a trac loc put in. Hoping for a test run this week....

Posted by: fredfordguy

a big test and the craftsman creeper passed with flying colors, Thanks to my dad for helping out

Made it back to the Depot saturday, ran and seemed to work very nice. The center section was pretty warm to the touch, perhaps things just getting worked together, new bearings, diff, etc.... Nice to see all of the cars at the cruize night, lots of blowers, a turbo and a bunch of 4 barrels and trip duces, all on what else...Mustangs...Good showing folks....

Mike,
Your car is so nice! I didn't get to see it until you drove away ..., it sounded so good going by though! It must handle like a new car now.
We had an incredible turn out last night. Although I did not get a count, I bet we were over the 100 car mark, and most of them were Mustangs! What a great night!

Posted by: fredfordguy

It handles pretty good for its age, next years project unless something breaks will be the front end. Only one last thing to buy, a single 255/60/15 to replace the one I wore from nubby new to wear bars last summer. Gotta behave this year...Was great to see the appreciation of a full tank of gas that it was put away with. a $20 moved the needle a little bit less than a quarter..

Posted by: fredfordguy

Here was the last piece needed. It only took half a dozen good burnouts to waste this rubba.... Seems like no glitches from the rebuild, drives very nice...See ya's at the Nashua show...
