This is the MCRParts.com archive. To get back to our main site, please follow this link: Ford MustangNewb from Mass.(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)Posted by: DaveSVT2000 Dave G. here, sent over by Jim G. Some of you already know me from other sites, figured I'd say HI. Usually I can be found during the summer at Kimball's or Heberts cruise nights, and sometimes at the Texas Roadhouse cruise nights up on 101A. Not big on the 1/4 mile, but do attend a few open track events each year like Watkins Glen, Lime Rock, and so forth... Currently have a 1993 Cobra, teal with grey leather, 36K original miles, original owner - bought new at Gervais Ford in Ayer Mass. the car has the usual mods, gears, exhaust, shocks, springs, baer brakes, etc... Next up is the 2000 R, got it in 01 with 1500 miles, now has 28,000 Car has never been trailered, driven to Detroit three times, Watkins Glen, Nashville, Fords at Carlise, and Montreal twice for the Montreal Mustang club show every August. To this car I have added 6 point roll bar, 5 point belts, rear diff cooler, ss brake lines, kenny brown extreme matrix brace and jacking rails, Bassani exhaust, and tinted the windows 20%. Oh, and I added the complete MACH 460 stereo to the car -gotta have tunes with as much as I drive it Last but not least, the 2003 Marauder which I just picked up in November and is tucked away till spring. Black with black interior, I tinted the windows 20%, threw in a K & N filter, might get some black bullitt wheels for it, and do some flowmaster mufflers in the spring. Best part, car only has 6400 miles, picked it up down on Cape Cod, it was someones summer car for their summer home... Dumbass jmac is right. Rip red was on 94,97, and 99 stangs. The 2000R was Performance red. It's actually the same color as Kev's car, Scotty(also Jmac's old GT). I believe performance Red was also the red used on the 93 Cobra and 93R Posted by: bullitt5177 Can someone shed some definite light on this. I know Rio Red was not an available color for normal Mustangs in 2000, but I for some reason thought the Rs were all Rio.
Posted by: badass98svt The R's are performance red. Just like I explained in the post above yours. LOL Rio red was available on 94 and 97 cars. Posted by: bullitt5177 Thanks smartass. I was looking for a link.
Posted by: EastCoast5.0 Can't give a link but it is Perf red. Posted by: bullitt5177 Hmmm. Don't know why I thought it was Rio Red then. Ah well, I'm a dumbass.

http://www.canepa.com/inventory/exot...20R/index.html I stand corrected, the 93R was Vibrant Red. I'm not convinced they're not the same paint code though. http://www.muscularmustangs.com/2005/svtcobrar.php Edit: I just found this on SVTP. Apparently, Vibrant and Performance Red ARE the same color. Read post #3 http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...ant+paint+code I also found this. VERY interesting. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...ant+paint+code Posted by: bullitt5177 Well, I do stand corrected then. <-----Dumbass. Posted by: EastCoast5.0 Yea my buddy's 93L wasn't cleared. Weird. Posted by: badass98svt ^^^ Scotty, Did you see my edit in post 20? Pretty interesting... Posted by: PULNGZ Quote:
