tailight tint

what can i use to give my taillights a light black tint...not overdoing it.

I think they actually have spray on kits just for taillight tint.

Those spray on kits are mostly junk though. They make decals you can apply over just like regular window tint. I know I found them online somewhere, but to be honest, I can't remember where.

NHT makes a spray tint called NiteShades. It's supposed to work pretty well, and is reasonably cheap. It's not removable though so if you get hassled by Deputy Dog, you're gonna be buying new tails. Alot of people put a coat of gloss clear over the Niteshade to restore the gloss.
There are also people who sell static cling films made by 3M which work well too. They peel right off if needed. Usually cost about $70.
