Embroidery Too Big?? -new seats

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Nicoleb3x3

I just got my 84 GT seats redone in leather with suade inserts and plan to put them in my 93.

but I got the seats back today and apparently the girl did not "get it" when I was telling her to go smaller on the font size of the embroidery.
so...should I keep them as they are

or lose another month fixing them (which prolly with just do no embroidery at that point)

PLEASE SEE PICS HERE:

I don't think it looks too big...

Posted by: badass98svt

I can't find the pics on that site.
I always hated the way that site was setup

Posted by: Nicoleb3x3

the link was directly to the blog with the pics

It doesn't look bad. I agree that the lettering is big, but it still works.
No worries.

But if YOU don't like it, have 'em fixed, otherwise it'll drive you more and more crazy every time you look at them....

Posted by: badass98svt

All that is important is that you like it.

Did you consider having it put in the suede section?

Posted by: Nicoleb3x3

yes...let's just say tomorrow I'll install one seat so I can see it at the right angle in the car before making final judgement.

as for returning...if I return them it will only be to go to plain seats and I'll lose the custom embroidery. the best place would have been in the suade inserts- but that fabric is lighter and the embroidery wil not show up as good there- plus black wouldn't look good either.

They are a little big, but still look good. Nothing to worry about.

Posted by: MCRPARTS

I was starting to get worried that you were driving around with the seat way back so we could only see your head.

Posted by: bdass92

It looks good to me, I like it!

Posted by: Nicoleb3x3

seats are going back next week, they'll replace that panel with a new one,
but I'll lose the embroidery and they'll be just leather seats with suade inserts

I guess I could always have it added later, maybe to the gray area and better font (and smaller!)

Posted by: Capriman86

I like the seats alot, but without anything on them personally.
Just my opinion...

Posted by: UltraMustang

They are a little large, but not to bad.

Posted by: Nicoleb3x3

I'm getting them redone this week, but I'm going to ask them if they can do this idea:

I persnally would leave them plain. I'm just not a big fan of lettering, or slogans or wording in general on vehicles.

Posted by: Nicoleb3x3

I guess I'm trying to push the identity of my stang...it also makes good conversation but also tells a story without me there to tell it.

it's not like I'm putting "mustang" or "ford" on the seats

Posted by: badass98svt

I'm not a big fan of embroidered seats either...
But I must say that new logo looks much better than the current setup!
Maybe do the "4" in a more subtle color. Silver, or dark grey maybe.

Posted by: MCRPARTS

I think the new artwork looks better also.

Posted by: Xerxeese

Add me to the list of people who like the new logo better

Posted by: bdass92

Now why didn't you think of this before? The new design looks cool

Posted by: Rick Sample

I like the new logo better as well

My opinion exactly.

If your going to logo it, that new one is MUCH better

Posted by: ExBamaGal

New logo = much better. Hope they can do it. Otherwise I say leave 'em plain.

Posted by: Nicoleb3x3

let you know how it goes in a few days

Posted by: UltraMustang

VERY nice indeed.

When will you and _J_ be at the NHMC cruise night in londonderry again ?
I want to see both cars in person...

Speaking of J, why hasnt he joined MCR yet , hmmmmm ?

Night and day difference

Posted by: Nicoleb3x3

we'll go up there again I hope! we've been really busy lately with building the new house and I've worked a few saturdays too, meaning 10x more difficult to wash and detail the stang. today we've got to get applicances, go to the house and meet with the builder...and on and on...busy day today

and J and I both joined the club at the fathers day show, he just doesn't post on forums except gotstang & 3.8 occassionally.
